Whats the deal with headers? Do I need a tune or not? I have a fresh set of Kooks long tubes, high flow cats, and O2 extensions, can I run that without a tune and not throw a CEL?

Try LPE, AI, TEA instead.

You can run it with no issues but you will throw a CEL, contact mike at New Era for a good tune. Join vvvvvv and ask him directly.

I say yes on a tune....... after i installed my intake and headers I was running a little on the lean side

The thing is that I don't want to tune and lose my warranty. I thought I had read that kooks + high flow cats wouldn't throw a CEL. If I'm going to throw a CEL even with them and not pass emissions then I might as well go catless, doesnt make sense!

Really need help on this because a tune is just not happening, too afraid. I'll have to sell them...

It's Kooks GREEN cats that supposedly won't throw a CEL. They are like $900 for the pair though.

Yeah that is just too expensive for a part that will need to be replaced in another 5 years potentially.

Damn I'm leaning towards a tune but really nervous.

Why? You have a 10 which has less than a year left on the warranty. Seems like a nonissue.

Well all of 2014 and some of 2015 so definitely more than a year but I get your point.
