Oh, one other thing, do you go WOT to redline in these videos or are they more like 5k-6k shifts?

Trying to make efforts to maximize the longivity of the engine and tranny. I have no plans of ever selling this car so I want it to last.

Just change the oils a lot and keep everything clean! My dad's 93 Eagle Vision TSi lasted for 365k miles until he got bored with fixing it's only issue (it kept melting the wiring harness).

But otherwise, thanks for all the videos... definitely the way I'm planning on going. The MRT doesn't do it for me, ya know?

Just watched the full throttle video... that sound.

I still have one more thing I have to do. I need to get high flow cats. I guess the partial cat delete helps. The sound will only get deeper and more aggressive.

Okay, #1 you can snag a resonated x pipe off of amazon (or a regular x pipe) for either 2.5" or 3" pipes. Without an x or an h you are losing flow, and that's what kills you power. It's up to you if the sound you may or may not gain from having true straight pipes is worth the power loss.

Uh, #2 if you want to use your stock h pipe you'll have to get fancy because the oem H is 2.5" in and 2.25" out - huge choke point.

And finally, if you had the resonator delete with the stock pipes, you were only running 2.25" pipes, not 2.5". That alone would give you a much better sound.

Well our cars flow well from the factory so we don't gain much from an x pipe, but the h pipe definitely doesn't make the sound deeper. They give unique sounds. If you really need something, just get a regular x pipe that is 3" pipe so you don't have to choke the exhaust down to OEM size.
