THIS! To a lot of people, their car is just a car. But I'm not one of them. When I'm being obsessed about certain things, and someone says it's just a car, it frustrates me. Ok, get back in your "just a car" and move along. This is a 5th generation Camaro SS...not JUST A CAR! I worked very hard to be able to afford it and all its expenses, and still be able to meet or exceed all my other financial responsibilities, i.e. 4 year old, wife, business, insurances, college fund, retirement, etc.

You need to remove seat and have the carpet steam cleaned along with bottom of seat.

![]() My Camaro was a retirement gift to myself. I saved all of my vacation and comp time up to cash out so that I could buy it. Many years spent saving that time/money!

Hold on. A few things: The only person at all in this thread that said anything about it being 'a car' before you posted was me. You act as if a bunch of people were ganging up on somebody or something. Just me, not "all the people" who said something. Only me. I did not say "it's just a car". I said "it's a car". I said "it's a car" because people were behaving like it was un-fixable. You've decided I mean "big deal, so what it's just a car".Never posted that. Instead my post indicated that it's a car, and here's how you can fix the problem. Nobody told ANYone that they don't deserve something they worked hard on getting and enjoy and want to keep clean and nice. Nobody said "it's just a car" so you can't be proud of it. And nobody said anything that should piss you off, regardless, because nobody was addressing you, firstly, and secondly the statement that pisses you off was never made. You should read the whole thing before going off. It kinda pisses me off when somebody attributes a negative thing to me when I never said it. Quote:

Its not about what KBB or some other source will say what its worth in 10yrs. And its not about how many people drool over it in 10yrs. My 1LE is more than just a car to me because on a personal level it represents the hard work I've put in to own it. Hard work not many others are willing to do... Not to mention, I detail my own car, do 99% of all work on my own car. So even that makes it more than just a car, I've devoted a lot of personal time and have a lot of personal experiences with my vehicles. Even my wifes '95 is special, its not worth shit in a book, but me and her have turned every bolt on that car together, and that means something. Unless I look at the wife as "just another human", then I guess that doesn't matter then either..... |

Hmm, soda in the carpet? Looks like it's time to crush it. It's a complete loss.

It's possible some got down in the window crack in the door. If so you'll need to take the panel off and clean really well or else you'll constantly be cleaning streaks off of your window when you roll it up and down.
Put towels all over the carpet and soak, soak, soak it up best you can. After that I would still think you would want to shampoo it some how. I know it will be tough right there between the seat and the door. Other than that, quick detailer, I use it for a lot. But I'd use a 100% cotton or high quality microfiber towel and use quick detailer to get your finger in all the little crevices and cracks and get every drop that you can out, including all over the seat frame. I've had a similar experience at Krystals.

If anyone were to go berserk on an employee, one I'm sure they felt like crap, two if you yelled at ME (I used to work at a fast food joint as a teen) I would feel less like crap. I mean, would you yell at your kid if they did it? Some of the responses lead me to believe your kids would get more than just a spanking. As the other person said, just gotta clean up and move on. For the guy who got deployed, I drive a tractor trailer to pay mine off, but ACCIDENTS HAPPEN.
