The Viper was even a valid challenger to the GT. However, the GT's MSRP was 2.5 times that of the Vette, and twice that of the Viper. But actual market price was over $200k for the GT. What could you get for 200k in 2006? Well the Porsche turbo 997 AWD was $125k and the same weight as the GT. The sweet, sweet Ferrari F430 was $174k.
