A/c belt install

Did cam swap and installed the innovators west damper and now im having a hard time installing the a/c belt.

What is the easiest way to get the stretch belt on? I got a hold of a tapered tool but it didn't quit work as I thought. Any tips or tricks?

I looped it around the crank pulley then walked it on the compressor pulley by turning the crank. Very easy and no special gm tool needed.

Damn belt is far from getting it started... It's a new stock belt and I don't know if that's the reason. I was also thinking the damper might be a bit bigger?

Should only be "tight" not that far off. You are trying to get it on the pulley behind the IW dampner, correct? Maybe you have the wrong belt.
