prob have to do with the spring/damping rates and sway bars/etc. to control turn-in, etc. to get as much grip out of the better compound.

I'd call it gm "marketing" to justify the cost and cement the Z28 as their ultimate corner carver. Their was very little information in that interview.

Not trying to hi-jack a thread, but would this be viable for the 1LE? Considering that WAS designed with a square setup in mind. I'd love to get 305's at all 4 corners on mine.

We did have a discussion on the "mule" ZL1 that GM built with some Z/28 stuff for comparison. It was very obvious, to me anyways, that GM did not want to release those mule numbers. I have no doubt the Z/28 was faster but as I said in the other thread I'd sure like to know how much faster.

It's not going to be cheap to make a Camaro like a Z28. By the way, the Z/28 does not say Camaro anywhere on it! But on the engine cover.
