I hope everyone signing this understands it will never happen. Having a push button start is not simply adding a button. It requires a proximity sensor to know when the FOB is in the car and an entirely new steering column with electronic steering lock. There would need to be additional wiring with additional circuits too. It is not a simple (or cheap!) retrofit.

I for one wouldn't want push button start and proximity sensor. Keyed ignition is fine for me.

They can't to seem to get a switch right. What makes you think they wouldn't mess up push button start which is a more complex piece? Keeping the switch I have. My knee never hit the key and I'm the only driver.

Just so everyone realizes, this will NEVER happen. There are too many expensive components that need to installed and or replaced for a keyless system to work and it's more cost effective for GM to just replace a key blade with a slug and cut two new keys.
