We charge 199 for tint, however TX legal limit for the front windows is 35% so that is as dark as we can take them. I can go as dark as you want on the rear though!

In Texas it is 25% now. I don't know when it changed. Here's a link: http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/vi/Misc/faq/tint.htm

I was pulled over and his meter registered my 25% at 22%. 3% below what it needs to be. He gave me a written warning. I'm guessing the window has a tint built in. So 30% should get you by with the police, if you want to stay legal with them. It looks like for inspection puposes you can get away with less.

I stand corrected! We use 30% due to the windows having already having a UV protectant on them, that is why it shows up lower on the meter.
