I Need Help!!
just bought a new house in Lakewood and thought i was cool in the driveway going into the garage...tried it out today with my car and nope..this is basically what i'm doing on the left. i need a solution so i can park in the garage!
help me! ![]() i could try the right pic there, but might need to add a block for the rear wheels to simultaneously have the front and rear wheels raise the car up. also need to make sure it's long enough i don't come off and just high center another spot on the car. does anyone know of a product to solve this? without having to build something? like those ramps you can buy to change your own oil etc. something like that would be nice. thanks!

I think I found it! I thought of race ramps, but didn't check their actual site. Figured they just made similar items, but not quite what I needed. Turns out I was wrong.

Race ramps are badass. Ive used them for many things. I use to live by lakewood, nice relaxing city.

pull in at as much of an angle as you can... might wanna try that before dropping a couple hundred bucks on ramps!

borrow or rent a cement saw from home depot and saw out the section, them smooth it out a bit using cement with some rebar. couldn't be more than 100-200 dollars.

I'm trying to avoid the cement route, but may have to. I'll likely just use some wood for now until I can save up for cement.

Hi, have you thought about 22 inch rims? Also, a good alarm won't hurt either, in the event that you have to leave it on the street until you find a fix for the clearance issue.

This is not my car...copyright. ..But I made a similar ramp to crawl up underneath. ..
12 feet long and cut for rear wheels to climb up and down into the garage...what do you think? |

What about 2x8 or 10 one for each side. Cut a angle on each end for ease of driving on it. Probably about 6 feet long. One end at the crack in concrete at grage door entrance. As you drive up and the front wheels come off the boards the back will still be on the board and will give you about an inch clearance. This all depends on how much clearance you need.
The board will probably want to move as you drive on so you could attach it to the concrete with bolts. Just a thought. A temporary fix at least. Good luck |
