I believe its in Sport mode when you pull the shifter all the way back for paddle shifters and dont use the shifters... On mine the HUD where it displays P for Park R for Reverse etc it will display S (I'm assuming for Sport) until I actually hit a paddle shifter then it says M1 for first gear, M2 for 2nd gear etc...

But I may be wrong and if I am I'm sure there will be someone along shortly that can straighten me out...

Thats how I was. I had my dad looking on the top side of the car and I was under it we knew more about the car than the dealer did by the time we left. I made sure my compressor worked while I was there I pulled it all out and ran it for 5 minutes. I made sure the fix-a-flat stuff was full. We had a good time with the dealer just sitting behind biting his nails and sweating.

Here's some information for you, in response to speedometer accuracy and "jerk" cops being chastised for doing their jobs: If you ask nicely, most of us "jerk" cops will be more than happy to check your vehicle speedometers accuracy with our radar. Oh, and by the way, if this same "jerk" cop that wrote you a speeding ticket pulls your wife or child from a burning vehicle or something like that, do they now become "non-jerk" cops? So sorry you can't control your speed, and must criticize others who are obviously responsible for it.

When I got my 2014 camaro the salesman had got gas and left the keys in the ignition. I drove it home in the dark. The car I traded was a 2013 sonic and had the key that pops out of the key fob. After I got home I went in the house, added the new key fob to my old set of keys, and I pulled the whole family out to see my new car. I pulled the key fob out and noticed the button to make the key pop out but no key to pop out. I spent the next 3 hours searching the car, house, and yard. Eventually I gave up. The next morning I noticed the extra key on my key chain.

The other problem I had was the rear view mirror. After buying the car I noticed the rear view mirror was very dark. It was so dark it was useless. With a car that has limited view in the rear a clear rear view mirror was essential. After 6 months I couldn't stand it and was going to go talk to the dealer to see what was wrong. I figured I'd look one more time. I then noticed a switch on the bottom that when moved changed the mirror from dark to normal. This made a huge difference when trying to park or leave a parking spot. No more worries about squishing small children and grandmas.

I'm sure this info is in the manual but I didn't read the whole thing because I had already owned a Chevy that was only 8 months newer then the camaro I bought and many of the things were the same.

I learned that switching the HUD to the G-meter, that the shift indicator lights triangles come on and change colors. Temps are up and the G's are high...

Kind of cool this thread has been around since Sept of 2010. Probably the most viewed thread on the site.

Except for the last "Should I buy a catch can?" thread...

Submarines have better visibility than a Camaro.

how about the drivers side door mirror...that one is always really dark as well...any adjustments for that?

I see plenty side to side, and to the ground. For aircraft, gotta have the roof open!

Yes, in the "mode" that measures lateral G's and speed, the indicator will appear above 3k rpm and move towards the center of the HUD as it changes Green>yellow>red
