I still can’t wrap my head around comparing the SS against the GT500.

I'm surprised the portly Challenger does so well in the slalom.
Meh, being beaten by the GT500 isn't so bad. It does have over 100hp more and costs a good $10k more. With $10k, I could buy a set of springs, struts, sways and a supercharger but still be driving the car I like.

They stated price wasn't a factor in this video. Along with stating that the Camaro is the bargain buy for what you get.

This is by far a fair comparison - why dont they let the Camaro drop in a Maggy and the same suspension enhancements and see what it will do compared to the 540hp Cobra that only is .3 faster in the 1/4.
Being that the Camaro is basically a baseline car - why did they not compare it to the baseline Mustang GT? Is that because the V6 camaro will outperform it? Another reason the comparison is not fair is because the Cobras are an SVT car - Special Vehicles Team and are modified from the baseline car. If price doesnt matter, why did they not roll out the ZR1 that is also factory supercharged? |

They are comparing the top end Vehicles that each manufacture offers.... This is fair comparison. If you compare for Price tag.. then no. If you compare per top of the line.. then Yes.

I have an SS Camaro on order. I own a 2009 SRT8 Challenger 6 speed manual.. I love it. I know I will love the Camaro too. They both have their attributes. My Chally has 10k in upgrades... putting 455 horses at the crank. Challenger will be more rare but both are stunning cars.. Gotta love American....

The mustang GT500 is the new tuff guy on the block?? Is there reporter in this video on drugs or something. Like we are surprised a car that costs 15k more that is super charged wins out and this body style has been out for 5 years give me a break. Dont get me wrong these 3 cars are awesome but you dont put the GT500 in the mix with these 2 you use the GT model hello. When dodge puts out there SRT10 challenger with the viper motor and the camaro puts out the super charged camaro with the Z28 then its a fair comparison. This is an apples and orange's comparison its mean nothing.
