Interesting fact: When the P.O.S. PT cruiser came out, people were paying $7000 over MSRP. People also paid a hundred bucks for a beanie baby and $300 for a cabbage patch kid. Everyone wants to be the first to have it, but in 6 months every one that wants one will have one and only the true enthusiasts will appreciate this Camaro....

the Mustang has been selling pretty well for many years and not "everyone that wants one has one" nor is it only "appreciated by enthusiasts". I don't know where you get those ideas about the Camaro but since it's so much cooler than the Mustang I don't think it would be a passing fad either. Obviously it won't always sell for $5K - $10K over sticker though.

It will be interesting to see the Camaro beat some of those JDM products at the track. I wonder what those Japanese drifters will do with the Camaro.

im not surprised at all that they've sold 120 camaros already. Im in Japan right now for work, I spend about 6 months out of the year over here... I can tell you there's alot of Japanese that love big V-8 muscle just like we do, but over here, they pay a HUGE amount of money each year just to own a car due to taxes and safety inspections. The taxes go up astronomically based on the size of the car and especially the size of the engine. Trust me when I tell you that the guys that can afford to buy and pay for the taxes on a Camaro or a Corvette in Japan are FILTHY RICH compared to the average Japanese person!

You would hope at least all the us pre orders would be done before they send them elsewhere, it is our taxes keeping them afloat?
