Hey Camaro5,
The Black Concept was the inspiration for my order (it was the 1st one I've seen). Anybody know where or how to get the Red Halo lights? They were so mean... I got the RS package, but it's gonna still feel like a half win for me ******************** Nevermind. Not street legal. Duh... :bangdesk: ******************** Well after all the great info, think I'm back onto getting them, just with a light toggle in case I have to "Is there a problem officer" every now and again Last edited by BlackCamaro; 08-21-2009 at 04:16 PM. Reason: Found more answers. Uhhh... Re-regard |

You can't do red halos; they're illegal. You can't have any red or blue lights on the front of the vehicle; those colors are reserved for law enforcement and emergency vehicles. If you put them on anyways, I can just about guarantee you'll get pulled over the moment a cop sees those red halos. And if he pulls you over for that, he might also decide to inspect your car for whatever else he can find. Do yourself a huge favor; don't do it.

Just a question. Say you pull into a parking lot, can you just have red Halos on there and still be "legal" ?

Off road they are legal (car shows and such), but as soon as you get onto public property (road, public parking, etc.) then they have to be uninstalled, so basically unless you tow the car everywhere, you won't be able to have them on. You can always live on the edge

The Red halos are sweet along with the blue... but unless it's a trailer queen. It's not worth all the trouble. Unless you never have to drive at night.... but then what's the point in having the red halos. I'm going to go with the Orange Halos to match my stripes.

You can actually have it BOTH ways. There are ways to make it so you can have both a red and white halo that can be switched on and off. That is my plan. White for street use, and red for shows and shining at my friends in the parking lot of my school.

I was thinking there should be a way to engineer something like that (smaller white halos set inside the larger red halos, with a switch inside to toggle between the two), but my order isn't due till October so I haven't been able to see how it's wired yet. Any leads on what you mentioned?

You sure about red and blue being illegal?? Cops in my area haven't said anything to me.. I've been considering blue Halo's and blue fog light LED's, thats why I ask. |

The "blue" you see in most HIDs is not the same type of blue used in emergency/law enforcement. The blue lights on a cop's roof rack are BLUE. HIDs are usually more white with blue hue depending on what angle you look at it.
Go by your local DPS and ask anyone in there. If your car is on public paving and you don't have the correct lighting setup you will get pulled over and ticketed.

Do you have any installed pics of this? I would get it but if the color one looks like its dotted up then id rather go with the full color and a switch.
