I have been running the IPF SC kit on my DD. Best FI kit out there for a DD.

I agree the ipf kit is probably the most reliable , but I went with the fabberge tt kit for the extra power and not too many issues so far mostly self induced ones . They are both good kits though just depends on your goals.

I would have to agree too, the IPF kit is great for reliability and little to no maintenance. If it's your daily driver and you don't have other vehicles to drive then I think it would be your best route. Just put it on and forget about it. Plus the power is linear so prob drives just like stock.
I too went with the fabberge twin turbo kit because i wanted more power and the low end torque of turbos. The negatives would be all the oil feed lines and return lines to leak and the scavenge pump to worry about, and not having catalytic convertors and smelling like a race car lol. For me the positives outweighed the negatives and i have plenty other cars to drive. So far I couldn't be happier with the kit.

I agree with the ipf being the best for a daily driver. That being said there are a good amount of people here with turbos that daily driver theirs. Personally when the time comes I'm going to go with the ipf supercharger, sure I won't as much hp or tq as the turbo. But for my needs it should be more then enough. And I'll have a set of 3.73 gears to pull me into the power band of the centri supercharger faster. Then when I have the itch again for more power I'll throw in some forged pistons and con rods and swap to a lower pully and see how that works. Either way you go you really can't go wrong. Both are great companies. If you have a beater car or something you can drive should something come up with the turbo then I'd say go turbo! If not supercharger all day.

Have about 2500 miles on the Fabberge TT system, driven by a teenage boy (and snuck out by his dad!
) with no issues so far.Rich |

I'm also someone interested in putting FI on my daily driver. I didn't know that the twin turbos means no catalytic converters. Is the smell without them, and/or any other effects of not having them, really noticeable or important?

Important...? Not really to me. I'm not sure where the filter sits with the ipf kit but I wouldn't want to have to drive my car through a downpour and through puddles. Seems like the filters would get soaked from the water mist just from driving. I think hptubine and skulla have put a lot of miles on their kits, maybe they can chime in on that. Maybe its ok as long as you drive slow and stay out of boost.

My IPF system has over 20k miles on it, running a smaller pulley that does 13 PSI of boost. Almost 100 passes down the quarter mile and still running strong.
