After a while you just have to ignore them. Many do it to justify their own purchase. Others do it just to troll.

People in these threads always get so sensitive.. OP I would head over to the FI V6 section, you will probably get more mature and more informed answers, seems like you have a few options to go with. Good news is that Houston has a ton of performance car shops.

It isn't just the V8 guys. When a SS asks a question about their mpg, somebody will chime in with "shoulda got a V6." Two sides of the same coin.

The issue is this car wasn't designed with a V6 in mind. Simple as that. While that's fine for some people who just enjoy the look of the car, the issue of making this pig fast with a V6 under the hood just isn't worth it.
If I wanted a V6 sports car that's quick I would have bought a 370z. So when someone asks opinions, guys like us chime in.

Wasn't designed with a V6 in mind?.. Have you seen any sales figures? Pig? Have you actually driven a 5th gen V6 Camaro? Would you consider a 1968 Camaro with a 327 to be a pig?.. I got news for ya, the current V6 puts out more HP than a 1968 with a 327.

Lmao that's my favorite line of all. That's almost a half century ago! Cars have improved quite a bit since 1968 if you take a look around. That's like comparing a flat screen tv to a box tv. Different era of time. My dad was a 1 year old in 1968. He's a grandpa now.

Please people stop with the V6 is faster than the older V-8's. What does that mean exactly, nothing as they should be.

Look at my build, supercharger and 3.91 gears. Fun going to the track and seeing people's reaction to a V6 that can actually move.
Also agree about comparing your car to another that isn't even in the same decade, compare it to at least the same year or newer. |

I don't think it's your favorite line... I think it's a line you cannot deny. It doesn't matter how long ago 1968 actually was. The point is, have you heard anyone call a 1968 327 Camaro a pig? The comparison is valid. Current V6 performance is great. There is no reason to bash them or make fun of them. Nor is there any reason to discourage someone from modifying them. How would you like it if every time you mentioned modifying your V8 Camaro, if someone said.. well, just go buy a Corvette, or a Ferrari? It's pointless and a stupid thing to say.
