I had a 2009 G8 GT in Panther Black. Never again with black, wayyyy to much work! The next vehicle I bought after that one was silver, '10 GMC Sierra, andI ordered my 1LE in Silver Ice. Low maintenance!

I love a black car yes they are difficult to keep clean but nothing looks better.

I went with CRT because I see to many Black camaros not because of the difficulty to keep it clean

I love my white, only issue I have is EVERY time I drive it I have to wipe the brake dust off wheels, rear bumper and fenders... I get tons of compliments and head turns, I have even been told it's the nicest Camaro they have seen. Of course, she is always garaged, never seen rain or snow.

Has nothing to do with leaving swirls. Even AFTER the car has been perfectly polished, you cannot avoid swirls on black unless your car is a garage queen and you take EVERY possible step to wash and dry the car correctly. If these steps are not done correctly, this is where most swirls come from. Most don't have a clue how to do this.

if this is your daily driver then black is a bad color and hard to keep clean, but if its a secondary car for weekends then black is unbelievably beautiful.

Thank you OP for telling me about the Ashen Gray. I really wanted the Ashen Gray but I was afraid it was too close to black so I skipped it and got Red Hot.

My last car (2013 GT500) was black and I swore that was the last. It looked great but so hard to keep clean.

I think Silver is the easiest to maintain but some say it's rental car color.

I like the Red, but I often get that "mid life crisis" look from people... I guess every color has it's problems.

I just saw another black ZL-1 two blocks from my house. Only the second I have ever seen on the road. This one was a convertible. AND WOO BOY DID IT NEED A BATH. dirty dirty. still looked mean from the front though...
