Does anyone know this car?

First off, I'm am in now way trying to sell this car, I'm interested in purchasing it but the dealer can't give me any info about the modifications. It is at a dealer in Huntsville, Alabama. From what I can tell, it has headers, exhaust, Lingenfelter CAI and a tune I assume. They will not warranty it either, but can't give me any specifics and will not ask the original owner what was done. I told them to get f%#ked.

Anyway, here is the link, I guess I'm just hoping that someone may recognize it and tell me about it. Also, is it possible to take the VIN and run it through GM service and see if it has been flashed or whatever?

Thanks

That's like my perfect car, but unfortunately it's 20k more than I can afford. Looks great! Spending 40k+ and getting no warranty is quite the risk.

It sounds awesome and looks great, I'm tempted, but not knowing the particulars is troubling. Unless they drastically dropped the price, but they won't play ball.

Drastically drop the price? Why? $48k for a 2013 ZL1 is right on par if you ask me. Please do not live beyond your means...especially over a car. Good luck!

Privacy laws don't allow dealerships to share personal information. They could get fined and sued.

Right, I just sold my Corvette, not really living beyond my means. I can get a brand new 13 that's completley stock with warranty for $48k or a 14 with less than than 4k on it for about the same. One would be crazy to purchase it without knowing what mods have been done to it IMO.

I didn't ask for the previous owner's number, but surely they could call him and ask about the mods or they would have found out before trading for the car. I was told it was traded for a Vette, maybe he was in my Vette club.

Funny thing, the saleswoman said," It's a $76,000 dollar car with $15 k in modifications, someone that wants it will not be concerned whether it has a warranty or not". I slightly agree, but so what. I don't have any problems with a modded car as long as I know what said mods are.

FWIW, I looked at it and it is clean as hell, sounds mean, needs tires has headers, magnaflows, CAI, a green belt and some lighting upgrades. Someone should buy it.

I'd go look at it again if someone wants.

Price sounds fantastic if the lingenfelter upgrades are done right and nothing wrong with the car.

I'm kinda liking what they did to the front of the car but not sure I'd do it to mine.

The grill mod actually looked good.

If I was looking for a newer car, I'd buy that car. It looks good and has the extra mods installed. I'd try ask for 45k plus TTL so you still pay around 47k but that's with everything. The no warranty sucks, but it's already 2 years old and modded so you are kind of stuck there.

As long as the car is still under factory warranty GM will/must warranty the car unless they can prove the failed part is the result of modifications. It's federal law guys...
Oh course, they do not warranty the modified parts.
