Where will "we" be next year? Having the same asinine debate over which car is "better" than the other. That's where "we"will be.

Mustang has momentum right now. There is a very logical reason for this. The Mustang is running a next generation refresh with a rebuilt body and inner workings. Camaro is still selling new vehicles that were essentially designed 6 years ago, however announced a couple quarters ago they are releasing a brand new design this year. That design hasn't even been unveiled, yet. Sales-wise, had Chevy kept the whole thing under wraps and made a surprise unveil next month, you would still see steady Camaro sales, but the way in which they did it, people who were looking to buy new are going to wait until the unveil to see which model they would prefer, which is going to stagnate sales for a while. Once the unveil happens, expect Camaro sales to pick right back up and net out the losses you have seen over the past few months, dominating Mustang sales in the short term before normalizing back to what we've seen as a trend over the last few years.

That being said, if the C6 is a dud, all that hypothesis is out the window.
Your hypothesis has a flaw. You aren't taking into affect that when the C5 came out the retro Mustang had been out since late 2004. Yes some body changes had been made in the 2010 and 2013 refresh, but overall the car has kept its same general design. The Camaro was new and a Hollywood star. That has a major effect on sales. Now the Camaro and Mustang are starting fresh. Both a clean slate and there is no way to predict how the market and its consumers will react, other than that they apparently love the Mustang as it is. Moving nearly 13,000 units in the month of March is very good.

True! Plus the mustang has a waaaaaaaay bigger fan base and the car looks like a poor man Aston Martin. Everyone wants a Aston Martin and ford knows this. Plus they needed a car that would attract ppl all around the world. So need to admit that Ford played it smart with this 15 model because they took everything that made our 5th Gens Successful and attractive than put it on the 15 mustang. And now we see the results of them doing this.

Why do people say that? What design cues do you see on the Mustang that you feel came from the Camaro?

I saw you ask the other person the same question but he never responded back to you. So I'll bite and say that the mustang took the huge hips and reverse Mohawk from the 5th Gen. Yes, the Mustang had hips in the 60's and 70's but haven't had it with the 05 to now mustang's . Heck, the mustang didn't even have the muscular curves til the 5th Gen.

I wouldn't call that "copying" the 5th gen. Like you said, Mustang had hips back in the late 60's early 70's, that's where it pays homage. If you honestly want to claim someone copied off of another's success, the Mustang was the first to draw design cues from the 60's. Mustang was retro when the Camaro looked like a Catfish. After Camaro paused production, Ford amped up the retro styling and a few years later GM and Dodge followed suit seeing the great success it had with the baby boomers. Anyways. I'm interested to see if GM has kept the predominant retro theme in the C6. That alone will factor into the sales war.

Ok , I know that the 05 mustang brought the retro theme back but what happen to the curves ? Wasn't the mustang supposed to be a full retro? I have other questions but want to hear your answers....

No, certainly not any more "full retro" than the 5th Gen Camaro was.

Well the 5th Gen was supposed to be retro and futuristic . While the mustang was supposed to be just retro.

Man, I don't care who wins these pony wars, I love what I drive 2015 camaro 1LT RS and that is all that matters. Like the mustang but will never buy another Ford product. The same goes for the Charger and to me that is the ugliest of the three.

Are you talking about the Camaro and mustang competition the challenger?

I wouldn't call it "full retro". The 2005 drew styling cues from the original Mustang such has the large grille, "fastback" styling with the painted B pillar, the "Dorito" style quarter window, the faux fuel cap badge, the side "scoop", etc. The original car had the muscular quarter panel haunch, but that wasn't drawn into the design theme until 2010. There obviously was quite a bit of futuristic themes set into the design also. I think the 2010+ really grabs ahold of that though.
