Apr splitter

Do you really have to pull the front end off to do the Apr splitter install? Just got the splitter in today and it needs the mount holes drilled. Does this mean it's adjustable on how far it sticks out? I am going to use the support rods also. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated

I did not have to take off bumper just used tape in the areas that the factory hardware matched up to splitter and pushed up on splitter to put the bolt marks in tape then drilled holes in splitter then installed with the factory hardware it was a pain used pillows to hold up splitter to make install easier and I used the support rods used a small screws to mount the rods to the bumper and regular hardware to mount to splitter good luck not easy but the look is worth the work

so how did you get the splitter with tape to line up evenly?. Wouldn't that be affected by how close or far you want it to stick out? Trying to picture how you did it.

Used pillows to support it where I wanted it used soft painters tape put tape where the factory hardware is under factory splitter pushed up on splitter in the areas the tape was and it left an impression of the bolt head in tape removed the splitter drilled the holes removed the factory hardware under factory splitter then installed the splitter with the hardware you removed take your time and have a friend help if you can it is not easy but it looks killer
