RPM Indicator
I got this cool LED rpm indicator called Shift-i from Ecliptech. It's an aftermarket product that has a row of LEDs that light up based on engine RPM and it works similarly to what Ferrari puts on top of their steering wheel. This allows for easy view of RPM without taking the eyes of the road when racing.
Any suggestion on where to pick up the RPM signal on a 2015 Camaro Z28. Thanks, Z288racer |

Good question. Be nice if we can add something like that to the steering wheel....

Please post a picture of the unit you have and where you plan on putting it in the car. I have used similar items in the past and have been considerin one in my Camaro.
Thanks.

You can get a 5v tach signal off the pink wire from the number 1 coil I used a GMR so I did not have to cut the wiring. http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...searchTerm=gmr

Thanks for the replies.
This RPM indicator is made by an Australian company. Check out ecliptech.com.au See the following video for how it works on the track: I plan to have it installed this week. I'll post some pictures after. |

I had the Ecliptech installed. They picked up the RPM signal from the fuel injector (per alarm industry guidelines for this car. Looks great and worked without a hitch. I have now programmed it to start at 4000RPM so lights don't go up until you are into the torque curve. See attached pictures
