ZL1 tires
Hello from the SS forums! I'm sure you guys get this a lot but I'm just wondering how much a shiny new set of factory ZL1 tires will set you back? I'm about to purchase some new wheels for my maro and I have my eyes on the ZL1 replicas from Phastek but I'm on the fence about getting the 20x9 fronts and 20x10 rears so I can reuse my factory SS tires or just ante up for the true ZL1 20x10 fronts and 20x11 rears. Thanks gents

I have both SS and factory ZL1's. I personally like the larger widths that the ZL1's give and I do have the GoodYear's on these. I have Motivos on the SS rims and they are nice, but, myself, would rather have the GoodYears... I like in Texas so we don't see too much cold weather so that is a +. I keep the SS rims around for those occasional days we get really cold (but I don't drive this in that weather too much)...
Obviously, you'll spend more if you go to the ZL1 widths and are probably limited to selection of tires... Hope that helps! -Don

Last time I looked on Tirerack, I believe they had the stock ZL1 Goodyears for around $250 each.

I had 275/315 combo on my SS and now have the same on my ZL1. You can buy good tires for around $1000. I have Toyo Proxes 4 plus with ~20,000 miles on them and they don't really look worn at all. I paid $998 for them installed. The wide tire in the rear really looks hot. It's all about the stance!

Looks like on Tirerack, the stock Goodyears are a bit higher than I thought coming in at $280 or so for the fronts and $305 for each rear. That comes to about $1,170 a set plus whatever tax and shipping.

They usually increase in price during the warmer season and go down during the winter months due to demand and supply. I also wonder if these are the new versions that was developed for the 6thgen because the only to tell is by the tread design.

No idea on the 6th Gen tires, I looked for OEM tires for my 2013.
