I wish i could get the recaro's but they don't make them anymore that was a l.e. and when they did it was $1700 for each seat. I found one on ebay used and they wanted $1800 thats why I'm not going that way.

Ok guys, here is all the information for the cruise. Anyone interested in going let me know.
Okay Camaro5, here is our first official Cruise of the year. Please read all the way to the bottom for all the details. We will meet at 0700 at: Petro Truck Stop, 1295 Horizon Blvd, Horizon City, TX. 79927. We will depart this location by 0730, and travel to: Pilot Travel Center, 501 Van Horn Drive, Van Horn, TX 79855. This leg is 98 miles and estimated travel time is 1hr26min. Arrival time should be 1000 hrs local time (accounting for time change). This stop has fuel and restroom facilities. We should depart by 1030. Next destination is: ... McDonald Observatory 3640 Dark Sky Drive, Fort Davis, TX. 79734. This leg is 176 miles, and estimated travel time is 2hrs36min. I think 3 hrs should be enough time to explore the Observatory grounds. Admission prices: Solar Viewing & Tour (Daytime or Day Pass) Adults - $8.00 Military - $7.00 Children (under 6) - Free If we have enough time we will proceed to another destination. Fort Davis National Historic Site, Lt. Flipper Dr, Fort Davis, TX. This leg is 23 minutes away from the Observatory. There is a $7.00 entry fee per person. Children 15 and under are free. This site closes at 1700 hrs. If we leave McDonald Observatory early enough we can do this as well. At 1700 hrs everyone attending are on there own. Option 1 - Return to El Paso Option 2 - Travel to Alpine, TX Daniel, Dawn and I are going with option 2. We will be staying overnight in Alpine, TX. The reason for this is we want to travel after dark to: Marfa Lights Viewing Center on US-90. Travel time from Alpine is 18min. We are hoping to be able to see the Marfa Lights. Everyone is welcome to join us on this part, but the hotel stay and all food expenses will be your responsibility. For those planning on doing the Marfa Lights with us, please plan for cool temps as it gets cold in the desert at night. We are planning on staying at: Holiday Inn Express Alpine SE, 2004 East, US-90, Alpine, TX. 79830. The rates for this hotel are $132.00 on average for Saturday night. If this does not work, there should be other hotels in the area that might be cheaper. This last portion is not part of our Cruise, it is something we want to do since we are in the area. We will depart on Sunday to return to El Paso. If we do not get to see Fort Davis due to time restrictions on Saturday, we will be going there Sunday before returning to El Paso. Fort Davis opens at 0800. These details will be ironed out Saturday night between all that want to join us. |
