09/07/09 VIN#'s and arrival dates

Hey guys, if anyone has followed this thread (don't expect anyone to care lol) I recently had to cancel my order. My wife needed the extra money and I had to start looking for something cheaper. I ended up lending her 10K for her enclave...after I had agreed to 5K and walked out of the dealership with what I thought was a signed contract on the car..spot financing as I later found out it was called sucks the big one.

I REALLY wanted the 2SS because of some of the perks that it had, but unfortunately had to go with a cheaper model...

....being that I'd rather go with performance than perks I choose a 1SS! I found a dealer through this forum and bought it today!

I was able to save myself over 4K on the 1SS and it's being shipped to me as we type.

...despite canceling my order and settling, I'm happy because both my wife and I were able to get something real nice.... in the end I guess its about compromise.

Happy for you Cowboy! Good to hear you're still able to get the car. Was it very similar to the one you ordered, just that's it's 1SS instead? Was it still White is the big question?

HEY GUYS AFTER TRACKING MY RAIL CAR EVERY 2 HOURS I CALLED TONIGHT AND THE CAR JUST LEFT WOODSTOCK TENNESEE WHICH ISNT FAR FROM MEMPHIS TENNESEE (DEALER DISTRIBUTION CENTER) I SUPPOSE THEN SHE WILL HIT THE TRUCK PASS BY ME TO MY DEALER WHICH IS NORTH OF WHERE I LIVE. Actually I had to settle for my second option in color, its Red Jewel Tintcoat w/ black interior. As far as options I basically got it plain with polished rims... I'm not sure what stripes i'm going to put on it, but I still want to put black rims on the car.

I plan on swapping out the seats and putting some leather in it in a month or so, need to save up some more cash first. I want some custom dark red/ w black leather...

I promise to post some pics when I get her...

Oh I almost forgot, of course Dallas is going to wreck the giants on sunday. I can't make the trip but my brother is going to the game. I'm thinking a "cowboys" edition camaro might just look pretty sweet!

So my Camaro shipped out on the 15th and was cruising along great, Toronto to Chicago overnight. Then it went to Glenn Illionois and camped out for 30 hours, why? Now it is in Bensenville Illinois where it has been since 2:50 am and hasn't moved since again. Bensenville is just northwest of Chicago. It is only 6 hours away from me and anticipation is killing me. Why do they stop and not move for a good day? Or is it that they switched locomotives and the new ones don't update as often? Any thoughts? I guess just to ease the wait, I know it will be here before I know it but lets get moving allready!!!

It doesn't help that the previous dealer I ordered from jacked me around and I went to a new one and things went well there. 1 week after I ordered there the first dealer called me and said they had allocation and it is mine if I still want it. That camaro showed up for them last Friday the 11th and was ordered 1 week after mine was. Mine even had a tpw before theres. I know this because I know someone pretty well that works for the dealer and he printed out and checked daily on the status of that car.

Mine is in Massacheusettes, it arrived at the railyard in EastBrookfield at 9:50am. That's an hours drive from the dealer in Woburn and a 20 minute ride from me in Wakefield. Hoping for deilvery on Tuesday.

Hope this is more up to your standards. I still have some work to do on it but if you can proofread it and correct as needed I could maybe still get a C+ on it when I turn it in. That will give me a D in the class which would be great. Thanks for your help and taking the time to notice K2!

Hey guys I have been tracking my camaro every 2 hours. I called tonight and the car just left woodstock, TN which isnt far from Memphis, TN (Dealer Distribution Center). I suppose then she will hit the truck, pass by me to my dealer, which is north of where I live. Maybe the middle of next week she will be home! There is one solid railroad track from Michigan to Memphis, TN which made travel time pretty quick. The car left Canada on 9/15/09. Thats alot of track in 3 days!

Yesterday I was so breaking excited when the dealer called and said my car just rolled in on the truck! About five minutes later I was depressed when he called back and said he made a mistake, and that it was someone else. Talk about a kick in the balls. I guess it will be here next week then.
