Got it down to a 1:489 on the Roval in Fontana. My big "oh shit" is coming soon when I finally decide to hit turn 1 at 159 - 162 and keep a high line through the apex at 145 and back out to the wall through turn 2.
When I can complete that I hope I can say "oh shit" I finally
did it.

This car is beating GTR R-35's, Viper SRT's, GT3-RS' I am only behind a Vette ZL1 (Full Race), my buddies C5 Z06 (Full Race), of course the ACR Viper, a couple of good GTR R-35 guys and a few GT3 RS guys.

The stock brakes are amazing on the track even with all this HP to slow down. I am still out braking most cars and picking up time in the brake zones. The suspension sucks up the rumble strips like like a coke addict makes a line disappear. You don't feel the car get upset in the Esses at Buttonwillow.

This car makes a lot of people scratch their heads (Porsche drivers) when a domestic "Muscle Car" goes by them on the straight, out brakes them and causes them to lose focus and miss an entrance line, lays down power well out of the turns and growls and grunts all over the track.
This post is full of win , I wish I could make Porsche drives doubt their purchase.

I would have to say all of my "OH SHIT!!!!" Moments start the same..... with red and blue lights in the rear view mirror.

Without the brakes these cars have I am sure I would have even more tickets than I have had for speeding. Nothing like hearing the radar detector go off and slam the brakes as hard as I can safely. I had a trooper tell me he clocked me at 98 in a 70, I jokingly said good thing you did not clock me when I saw you I know I was going over 140. He did not find it funny, but he knows me so it was funny to me.

I have no experience in a Z/28... different monster, but I had an, "Oh SHIT!'' moment last month trying to overtake a truck entering the freeway (temps in the mid 50's on GY F1 tires). Dropped down to 2nd gear from around 35mph and hammered it. Started skating as I was passing the truck and the lanes started squeezing into 1 lane... had to ride it out because I was already at a speed where it was too late to brake and to far past the truck to get out of the gas pedal and not bite the curb. Didn't straighten out until I was already on the freeway... I poo'ed a little.

When the No. 6 Rod made an appearance on a 1-2 gear change. Looked down at the DIC and it read "REDUDED POWER".

"Oh Shit" we have unscheduled high speed disassembly.

The reverse Oh Crap moment:

My wife and I were at the intersection of 145th street and 51 in Broken Arrow, and had turned off the highway onto 145th north, when out of the rear comes a Nissan GTR- highly modified; he must have been running 1000 hp+, as he streaked by us like we standing still in the Z/28..bone stock..it had not a prayer against that car. However given his driving, I figured its a matter of time till the police level the field; he was driving way too fast for that area, and while he turned, he was still at speed going into a subdivision. That is my one pet peeve BTW- driving like an insane person in a subdivision where kids play...

Just to let Y'all Know, You don't have to have a Z/28, ZL1, 1LE, Or a SS to Have an "oh Shit" Moment. I had one of those moments out in the Country, Club was having an outing, and we were cruising out in the countryside when I took a corner a little hot in my rs, well the back slid out, i went into the grass, then back on the road. Well the guys said it looked l was cutting the grass, everyone got a laugh, nothing was harmed, but just goes to show how well these cars are built an handle.

True...but it helps to have a really fast car...a V6...well hopefully they can hang on . The last time I was in a yard we were teenagers with baseball bats going after mailboxes...thing about hitting them was your arm went clang when you really connected, either that or you broke the bat...so you always took along two or three bats....

My OH F'n SHIT my LEVIS!

Headed to a caffeine and cars event in NY , 996 , CTS-V, Evo all heavily modified to name a few in the line up . We come into a swooping 45 degree turn slightly pitched upward right . Z28 showing them all the wrath of Kahn (I knew the turn well) so I braced in preparation of one bump mid turn. Well the car went F'n airborne early entry! It's a oversized 3 lane wide one way , but still I shit my pants, not expecting how ridgid the Z is. The car while it was in stage 2 sport mode at the time corrected itslef completely!

Trailed back throttle (I was in it cornering and unexpected airborne had me gassing) and made it out unscathed . Temp was good 82 degrees and tires warm on new 2,000mi Trofeo R's .

Later that day I was randomly searching Z28 Camaro , low and behold there is a link header, "the Z/28 knows when it's airborne". . This car is much smarter than what most believe.. Especially in regards to reaction time.

All happened in a .0002 split second.

These cars are impressive for sure!

Sir, is your car white? Do you frequent the Yorktown C&C?

I may have ran into you at one of those.

I was leaving work and took a downhill right turn onto the on ramp a little too hot on cold tires. It didn't help that the turn had a weird off camber where the apex was higher than the outside of the turn. Ended up sliding across two lanes and fishtailing a few times. I thought for sure I was going to spin but I somehow caught it. I definitely shit myself and the guy behind me drove by me with a grin and a huge thumbs up lol!
