I knew I made the right decision to wait... what's a couple more years, anyway?

I wouldn't say the official statements of Ed Welburn are 100% rumor and speculation.

GM has cancelled numerous cars after announcements much more 'offical' than this. Don't count your chickens before they hatch this far out.

Oh I know it could easily be cancelled but that doesn't make it rumour and speculation.

It looks better since they're statements by Mr. Welburn...

Sad but true... Let's hope that Camaro continues to be successful

F-body has seen this, Corvette has seen this...you name it, it has happened. Every manufacturer does something like this to freshen up cars...heck, I'm sure that even a company like Smart has even done it.

It's one of the risks of going with a first year vehicle. I experienced this with my Trailblazer SS in 2006. When the '07's hit the street, GM had finally made the front and back seats match. My truck had full leather back seats with Alacantra and leather up front. The '07 had Alacantra/leather on both front and back. They also updated the rear wiper to look less goofy and made some minor tweaks to other items on the truck.

No reason to be upset if you've got a first year car...you were one of the first on the road and you got to enjoy the stardom and notoriety that those of us that will follow won't get to enjoy.
hes just jealous that his car wont be the top of the line anymore..about like i am that my V6 isnt going to be as good as the upgraded one coming out..LOL..

Some people out there still think the Gen V will not be built even though I'm driving one. It's just a matter of getting it dailed in and put together at this point which was the whole point of the announcements over the last few days. These guys are very carefull with their words as we all saw over the last year or so during the final developement of the Gen V. Based on recent history I would bet that they mean what they say and that there will be naysayers right up until one pulls up next to them at a stop light.... When I do I'll wave.

with the camaro ss your options are unlimited like a turbo, twin turbo, supercharger (maggie 1900 2300, procharger, whippple, ken belle,) The list goes on, If you were to buy a z/28 its most likely to come with the lsa a 1.9 litre supercharger so the first major mod would be to upgrade the supercharger, uh then your back to a camaro ss!
Its okay if you dont get it

Its kind of like a Jeep or Jimmy Buffett.... You are either get it or you dont!

Hmm... Much like there's no where to go with GT500s, eh?... Whipple/TVS/KB anyone... But I digress...

Please stay on topic. We're discussing Mr. Welburns statements to Edmunds; not a Z28 vs. SS battle...
