I don't agree with you there. I think it shows that you have gained experience and education by going through the entire process (be it building a custom car, house or even a business). It is this new found level of knowledge which has given you the abilty to re-evaluate what you initially set out to do. As they say - hindsight is 20/20.

P.S. - I would like to use your signature!

the point is you are in the few and you think you are the majority and your purchase will not hurt or help gm so much that it's better off then you sticking around on this board and causing problems like a little child.

I want a Z28 as much as you, but do you hear me crying and complaining saying "I'm going to buy a GT500 if they don't give me a supercharged Z28 within a year!" sorry but that's childish and stupid. grow up.

In general I think the OP is saying lets focus on the positives about what we now know about the Camaro instead of singling out what we don't. It's fine to discuss them but let's do it in a grown up fashion. Not saying many here haven't been I'm just generalizing here.

I for one would have really liked a push button start as I've gotten used to just leaving the fob in my pocket but I'll get over it. I much rather like the HUD option which more than makes up for it.

I'd like the RS package to not include 20" rims but I understand that having packages makes it easier to sell cars as there are fewer available options. It would be nice to have single options even if they are a special order which I think would accommodate most people.

We need to keep in mind that enthusiasts while an important part of the market are a small part of the market. GM will need to focus on the majority of Camaro buyers and in turning a profit.

While it may sound crazy to some GM is not that far from Chapter 11. They are loosing a great deal of money as they slowly switch from BoF, low gas mileage trucks to fuel efficient cars and CUV's.

This new Camaro will attract a lot of new buyers and will get many conquest sales that wouldn't have normally thought of buying a Chevy.

Posts like yours are what I enjoy reading (except the GM going under part). You voiced what you don't like about the car. Just because you did that, it does not mean that you expect GM to change their mind about something or that you will not buy the car despite your wish list not being fulfilled.

I never said it was a Limited edition, but threats like you made fall on deaf ears, one person or even the handfull here saying that they will buy something else if GM don't do this or that won't make GM change their mind.
A kind word with a suggestion will go much farther (and many have done just that and that is good). There will still be plenty of buyers out there that will love it just as it is..

anyways if they brought out every concieveable model right off the bat then what would the entice buyers with in 2011...2012...2013.... Gotta leave them wanting more....

That is what is wrong with society now, we expect instant gratification, we want it all and we want it now... it ain't gonna happen people.

[QUOTE=Skyman 08;97622]Believe me, It does not matter what they offered on the Camaro, SOMEONE would not be happy. If they offered 500HP someone would want 550 or 600 HP. It's like giving a Kid $20 and then him saying, "But I really wanted $50."

You can make that comparison if you want but nobody will be giving me a camaro. I'm paying for mine, like most of us and we want what we want...

I for one, am in love with the spirit of the car.

It's the Camaro. An American icon, a force of beauty and speed that holds cherished memories for just about everyone on here, I'd guess, and if not then it definitely holds dreams of the future, or you wouldn't bother joining a forum about it.

I'd buy it if it WAS a re-badged cobalt; and not even an SS (yes I'm aware this doesn't really make sense, I'm just trying to make a point)-- that's how much the spirit of the car means to me. It's just icing on the cake that it looks like this; has 422 hp and nearly matches it for torque, and is also a stellar specimen of design and engineering. So no, I won't be upset about the head/tail lights or bumpers or fascia or mirrors or steering wheel; I won't be upset that there isn't a 500+ hp version coming soon... because at the end of the day, GM has given us the greatest gift they can-- our Camaro is coming back. And I think they have done a SPLENDID job giving us something we can be proud of.

If it's competitively priced and I am fortunate enough to afford one by the time it comes out next year, then I know the day I take delivery will be one of the best days of my life.

My point is, be grateful for what you ARE getting because as someone else said, the other option is none at all... and that would be far, far worse than having to "settle" for 422 hp and modding it up beyond 500...

Go buy a GT if you have to... the Mustang is an icon too, I won't fault you for that... but a legend is back, and that's good enough for me.

I really don't think I'm a majority, nor even a minority, I 'm just myself representing myself.

You know what I find stupid and childish? Taking my sig at first degree and thinking I am really trying to scare Fbodfather by not buying a camaro ...

no but ur crying about it so much and stating that you're going to buy a GT500 several times through out the forums if you don't get it. so no it wasn't just your sig that I was quoting it's you on several posts have said it. it's old and annoying. get a GT500 already and stop crying.
