brakes boiling

in need of help

i have a 2013 camaro ss 1le pushing out 584 rwhp, and every time i take my car to the track i boil the brakes. i have upgraded brake fluid to dot 4, slotted rotors by R1, steel braided brake lines front and rear, and raybestos st45 brake pads and still my front brakes are smoking literally melting paint off of the calipers. any advise will be awesome thanks.

Buy a big brake kit and add brake ducts. Or don't brake as hard.

Did you not read the replies to this same topic you posted in the 1LE section? Or did you read the replies and didn't like what they said so you posted the question in here again? Just wondering since you have had several replies to this same question in the 1LE section that will help you solve your problem.

Unfortunately it's not going to be an inexpensive solution. But if you are willing to spend big$$$ on engine power mods then you should also be willing to reciprocate that by spending big$$$ on stopping power.

Brake ducts would be your cheapest and easiest option. I have the brake duct kit from Quantum and it's worked well for me. A cheaper option would be to not mash your foot to the floor on the straights.

Are you losing all pedal pressure when your brakes overheat, or are you losing stopping power but still have a firm pedal?

For a frame of reference, I had the same experience once (0 brake pressure/pedal went to the floor), last lap of last session of the day. I had stock brakes with Motul RBF600 fluid. Since then I had the Quantum brake ducts installed and haven't had the issue. On the main straight at Summit Point, I'd be braking from about 125 mph to around 45 mph for turn 1.

If it's only taking 3-4 laps to boil the fluid, something doesn't seem right. This is the first I've heard of anyone boiling fluid that quickly and there are some fast drivers here without cooling ducts.

If it were me, I'd have a mechanic check the brakes to make sure everything is ok. Maybe the pads are making contact with the rotors all the time causing excess heat.

Do you have any video of your track day?
