There should be some reasonable expectation of reliability. 1.5 yrs even for an electronic part is not unreasonable.

Trying to get me to pay for your mistakes is not an acceptable solution.

I rather drive with a busted mylink screen then use my money to fix a problem caused by someone else.

I love camaros, but this will be the last Chevy I buy.
After a couple of years the paint already has road chips and scratches. I demand that Chevy repaints the car for free, or I'll get a Mustang

Um NO, there seems to be a certain age group that does all the whining. After you reach a certain age, you just weigh your options and make a logical decision from there.

Think about this. In forty or more years when someone is trying to restore one of these automotive marvels, what kind of fun are they gonna have trying to fix digital instrument clusters, mylinks, ecus etc. And people think these things are gonna be classics lmao

Maybe you're just numb to being screwed over, and just chalk it up. And there are those that speak out and hold someone accountable. OR, you are so rich you can just go pay cash for a car that costs half a house, and expect to have something break. For the other part of US that are in a lower pay grade, we expect shit to work for our hard earned money. Really? Less than 2 years on a new vehicle and..... Oh well, it's to be expected! Pffttt..

No wonder quality has taken a nose dive with that kind of thinking. Everything is made in China. Oh well, it's to be expected.....

Cars cost too much, this is true. But they are also machines made by imperfect people. Sometimes things happen and it seems like there should be someone to blame. Unfortunately not everything has an obvious cause of failure. I won't pretend to know the situation with the screen so there is no way I could offer anything other than understanding that is sucks when stuff breaks. But coming into a public forum throwing a fit about your concern and threatening to never buy a product again doesn't do anything for you but frustrate you further by getting opinions that you don't want to hear or like. There are ways for you to get it fixed, I can promise you that but a forum is not one of those options.

Can we get some facts straight? To start with, it says he has a 2014 Camaro so that is clearly more than 1.5 years? Is he venting about something that happened in 2015 or am I missing something.

The manufacturer makes their warranty clear and beyond that, they are no longer obligated. That's life. The purchaser at that point is at the mercy of whomever manufactured the item for any type of coverage but they have no right to demand it be repaired. I like macho better. And if your talking toasters I get it. Buy when your talking about something that costs so much mote you should hold the manufacturer to higher standards. Especially if its do.ething reoccuring. Now nobody but the op knoes the exact story so really we sre just speculating in a macho kind of way.

Did you get one screen fixed under warranty only to have it break again? Usually dealers give a 12/12,000 mile warranty on paid repairs, so I don't know if that would apply to a warranty fix that's now out of warranty. If you already have one break, it seems they'd try to do a goodwill fix since you had the issue already.

You mention it broke only two years into ownership, so I'm guessing you drive quite a bit and are past your 36K mile B2B warranty. Just another reason Chevy could do a goodwill fix, especially being a Camaro enthusiast on his second car.

Does seem ridiculous you've had two screens go bad with such a new car. Good luck on getting it fixed.
