Best I can tell...
Heart attack, complete arrest twice... once on the rig, once on the chopper... 11 broken ribs, broken sternum, broken manubrium... kidney failure, lung failure, aspiration pneumonia,, septic shock, several small strokes...all the doctors in Florida stated it's a miracle I'm alive. I still have a long road to go as I can barely walk, my left hand is basically unusable... I hurt all over but I'm alive... my wife has been and is amazing as have so many people along the way. A doctor in Florida stated I was the most critical patient in the Broward County health center, which is huge. Again, thanks and love to each and everyone of you... your thoughts and prayers most assuredly helped.

Must be quite a team on that rig.
God definitely turned His face your way, with your background you know the numbers... glad you didn't add them up

Geez... The broken bones are the result of falling after your heart attack or the heart attack the result of a fall?

I suspect the broken chest bones were a result of vigorous CPR.
Good to see you back in semi action Robert. |

Hi all,
It's been while but I am on the mend and continue to improve. The cardiologists almost have my medications tweaked to a point where I feel human. As my Doc stated, I am a complicated and interesting patient with regard to cardiology. Who knows, maybe I'll be the subject of a study... Go big or go home... So, onto reality... for the first time since mid October I went to the shop today to visit both Corey and Sean Gustin as well as others. I drove my truck down there as my Camaro and my Camaro's motor are divided at this time. I enjoyed the simple freedom of being able to drive myself the 35 miles or so to the shop. I had no issues and didn't get lost, though I think I could start my truck and it could get there with no input from me. Corey and Sean and company are in good spirits and staying busy. I did get to see one of my new heads for the motor.... Wow...Sexy Car Porn... No, I didn't take any pictures. At least not of the head... I continue treatment for my left hand as it is still more or less useless, except to cause loss of sleep and chronic pain. I did speak with a gentleman at the shop today that suffered the same neuropathy. He told me to keep working it and the movement will come back in about 18 months and the pain will subside shortly thereafter. Thats about all for now except, My heartfelt appreciation for all the kind words and comments, on here, on Caring Bridge and on FB. I've read every note I've seen and it has truly meant a lot.
