Would 69,900 make you feel any better. It's definitely going to be sticker shock. I think GM has figured out they have better product than Ford now so the price has gone up accordingly.

Figure, if the 1LE package does all that it can for $7k (high guess), and an LT4 retails for $4k more than an LT1...throw those prices on top of a 2SS and add the costs for some strengthening of parts and unique bodywork, it should hit the showrooms at around $60 before options. Also...there is some conjecture (purely that) that the 1LE has been restricted to the 1SS package, because if a person ordered a 2SS that way, maybe it would be too close to the price of a future ZL1, and that wouldn't make any sense to get it.
