Ok I'll ask the burning question... I understand this in no longer a CAMARO5 event but as a licensed and insured driver and as such take responsibility for myself driving on a public road. If I show up will there still be an escort?

My thoughts too. Everyone simply signs a waiver letter. I've seen that numerous times at dragstrips and such similar parks or events

But how to make sure every single person signs that waiver. When you are talking about 300 cars...give or take...and the amount of people that want to join, the others who might not stage at our hotel, etc etc...
I agree...a letter would be great (waiver), but getting that letter to every single person, getting them ALL to sign in.... Now THAT would be VERY tough.. |

There is a local group that is meeting at the Chandler Mall (Barns and Noble) who will be driving as a group to Firebird Raceway. They are heading out at 08:45.

It's all about staging, yes a PITA. But a simple waiver and some sort of confirmation systems like a raffle ticket would probably suffice. I mean it's your call, last minute but its an option.
GT LOKE! Willing to take on 300 more =) Tag, you have worked hard on this baby! I am so sorry insurance would not come through for you as we all know you worked hard on this. There are options, just requires a little out of the box thinking and maybe a quick run to kinkos. Either way I intend to find you while you are here and buy you a drink you deserve it! lol |

I think the long and short of it at this point is that TAG really cannot be involved anymore.

My plan is to meetup with my local group at the Chandler mall and leave from there. If you want to all ride along to Firebird just show up.
We are not officialy organizing anything but as a licensed and insured driver and as such take responsibility for myself driving on a public road. - Who knows maybe there will be an Escort there http://www.camaro5.com/forums/group....cussionid=2448 Who ever I meet from the farthest away from the phoenix area will get a free hat! .... your gona need this in the sun http://www.camaro5.com/forums/group....#gmessage21697

Wow, sorry to hear about the cruze! It was a wonderful time last year and I was in a rented Camaro. What if you started staging earlier and have several helpers getting everyone to sign a hold harmless agreement and put a small round sticker on the window to show that the driver has signed the form. Not as easy as a blanket insurance policy but everyone gets to cruise. Just an idea...

What really needs to be decided is if everyone wants to leave from the hotel and make our own cruise. Camaro5 can't endorse it but if we choose to do it on our own we could?
