Not today but yesterday. Diff fluid change with the axle seals TSB completed.

Backstory- I took my car to my dealer about 2 weeks ago for an oil change and asked them to do the rear diff fluid change. Car had around 30k miles and had never been done. I spoke to the SA at the dealer and the guy knew the car needed a friction modifier due to the limited slip in there. So I was comfortable they knew what was required....

So a week or so later I'm backing out of drive and I hear the rear groaning. I'm thinking no modifier in there. I check the part number for the fluid and I'm right. Call them up and they apologize profusely and then call me back saying there is a TSB on my car for the new all in one fluid and rear axle seal replacement as the fluid and original seals are not compatible. So yesterday all was corrected.

Yes I know dealers do stupid things but these guys have always been good with my car and they made it right so I'm okay with that! So those of you in need of the rear fluid changed may want to look into this. I believe it is supposed to be better than the original fluid that came in our cars.

Got Black Widow mufflers installed.
Not as loud as I was fearing. Sounds good on the throttle and may have improved my mileage a little bit.

Drove it 25 miles and parked. I am still breaking in the 3.91 gears. It has been over a month since I had the gears install in the car and it hasn't seen 500 miles yet.

What's wrong? Broken arm?
Go drive that car

How do you have an L99 in a 2016 Camaro?

How hard was it to cut the hood? Rust concerns?

Shouldn't be a concern. These cars have aluminum hoods.

No worries. I did go back and touch up the exposed corners, but unnecessary really. 0 signs of anything to worry about 12 months later.

Dropped the top and looked at a few houses and then went to the mountains and stopped in Gatlinburg for lunch and then back home. about 170 miles. The external temp was reading 111. My farmers tan game is getting strong.
