after 4 years in college Ive had at least 10 dents (Big Dents) and lots of scratches on my civic, and my motorcycle pushed over. Would I ever bring my camaro there. Hell no.

Happy thanksgiving back at ya.

I didn't bring my car (not the Camaro yet) to college until sophomore year. Regardless of the parking situation, your ride will inevitably get dinged up in some kind of fashion. This will happen because 1) you're surrounded by people who couldn't care less about your car and may not care much about their own car, and will care even less when intoxicated 2) the pure volume in the area will be higher than normal. Unless you absolutely need your ride with you and the parking situation is somehow really good, I would probably leave it at home. At least you'll have something fresh to drive during breaks as well.

The weather in Arizona is definately too unpredictable in the Fall, you'd probably find it a bit harsh that time of year for begining a long walk to LSU. In fact you'd have to leave long before next Fall if you're determined on heading west in order you get to LSU. I'd drive the car east to LSU its a lot quicker.................. Happy Turkey Day

I'm only saying that in my opinion, might as well bring it. Take precautions, park farther away, end spots, parking garage, etc.

If it gets dinged up, get it fixed. Just have to expect that sh*t happens in life, sure you'll be mad but it's always fixable.

As it is just a car, it is a VERY nice car.

Now, no one likes door dings or wrecks...but some of it is inevitable.

Are you gonna let the fear of something happening to your car keep you from taking the car to school and enjoying it with your buds?

I sure hope you say no.

My friends like going for a cruise around campus in my car...they like it even more when I let them drive it.

Take your car and enjoy it! I haven't had a problem at Auburn yet.

Actually, yes I'd rather take the train than have people screw up my pride and joy. As I stated I took my first SS to campus, but that's not happening with my 2nd one after I've seen some of the girls there attempt to park. The new SS will be a weekend car ONLY. And when I will take it out, I'm not leaving it anywhere. It's gonna be driven that's it! The only parking it's gonna see is in my garage.

Sure, this may seem extreme, but I'd rather be proactive and not reactive. Yes, I love my car that much. That's why I honestly feel that if you can't also afford a beater, you shouldn't buy a car you love.

And screw my "friends". They're driving M3's and AMG's, I really don't think they'll miss my SS.

It wasn't my intention to offend you, sorry if I did. I just said that so you can see that no one has a problem with me not bringing my car to school, not me nor my friends.

I've lived in Tucson for 5 years and I'm not quite sure what unpredictable fall weather your talkin about. All we see is sunny skies and high temps 70 to 80 in the fall. oh and your Camaro would rarely even get wet in Tucson. You would also be welcomed by the friendly Tucson Camaro club.

my friend not to to long ago told me something that i now live by. i was telling him about not drive my camaro to campus, and not taking it out when there is salt on the road. he said you are 20 years old and sound like a old man with his cars. stop worrying about your car and bring it up here. you will have tons of cars through out life that you will be able to take care of them.

so now i stopped worrying and drive my carmaro. honestly chances are the most that will happen is a door ding.... but bring a camaro or any nice car is the way to go. haha

No way in hell, brother...

If LSU is anything like FSU or UCF here in Florida.. college kids as a whole can be very disrespectful and disconcerned with OTHER individual's property. After the lessons I learned, I won't even take my Camaro up to FSU football games to park 5 miles off campus... jealousy runs rampant as well..

My best friends at FSU bought lil beater jeeps or hondas to get around, my buddies at UF swear the way to go is scooters.... I think that is just a gator thing.

....HOWEVER, with all of that said, chicks dig this thing and once you throw on an exhaust/headers/cam they will slide into your car naked.... just sayin
