Hey blazzin1, any pics of those welds? Thought you were getting them months ago after I took those Forgelines off your hands.

Yeah, I was going to buy the Welds right after I sold you my Forgelines (btw...I never should've done that!!!), but then I decided the Welds (along with the soft drag radials) were just too "impractical" for my needs. So I bought some 20" American Racing Torq-Thrusts for a while. Well, I wasn't satisfied with that set-up either, so I sold them and bought my Welds now!!! Screw it, they may be impractical, but I love 'em!!! Still need to buy tires....(hoping to get them for Christmas!) They look good, I want a set for the strip. I'm lowered a tad, but I have coilovers and I think it's set about 3/4" drop. I'll notch if I have to.

Yep, I have coilovers too. I figured I'd leave the suspension set-up at stock ride height until I can afford to buy the new BMR LCA's.

BMR stuff is over built and heavy. Won't feel right on my car when on a road course. Who else makes a LCA?

Spohn also makes an LCA, but I've seen other members on here that had them rub on their Welds. Plus, kinda "shotty" customer service from what I've heard. I seriously doubt when driving you could "feel" any difference at all between OEM and aftermarket LCAs, regardless of how much they weigh. If you're lowered and staying lowered, then get the BMR non-adjustable LCA (I'm sure they're lighter than the adjustable version).

so I have a pfadt lowering spring...I would guess by what is said here the weld's are out unless there is less back spacing offered soon? Is that correct? (ie it is hitting the control arm)

With your lowering springs, it is fairly "possible" that the 17" Welds would rub/contact the lower control arms. I've seen it go both ways. Possible solutions....You could "notch" your OEM LCAs, or buy aftermarket LCAs, or size-up to 18" Welds. Or, as Kevin mentioned above, you could pay the big-bucks for Bogarts!!!

Only problems ive heard about the Bogarts is that they are not good for the road. Any truth to this that anyone knows of?

Have you made up your mind yet, as to what wheels are you going to get for your car? Just curious.... |

ok...hang on...notching lower control arm...someone have a pic?
I ask because essentially pfadt sells a kit to box/reinforce the stock control arm. At that point, I wouldn't sweat trimming it for wheel clearance. Just depends on what the trimming 'is'.

Pfadt's reinforcement weld on truss is for the trailing arm. The notch needs to be made on the lower control arm.
