IMHO because they did not engineer it...it is an outside company (or they copied it near exactly). Most Moroso products are top notch and we have used many for years and rate them amoung the best on the market......but this is not the case here. The larger unit will work better, but it has the same design as the small one....just remove the stell wool from the side you use as an outlet and you will have a pretty good working unit with the large one. The small one allows far to much oil pull through, but ANY can is better than no can.

SC2150, although this seems like a minor modification of the PCV system... Does this in any way have any impact on the vehicles warranty?
Also, what are the implications of having a frozen valve due to condensation during the winter months. Is there a way to avoid this? Any of your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank You... |

If you search "Excess oil" filtered by title only and my name, you will see. I think the frozen valve is extremely rare, but you could do like me and run without the valve. The RX can does great even without.

The Elite is a great functioning can also....we endorse it, the Saikou Micchi, the AMW & Mike Norris are amoung the best functioning in the testing we do (and anyone can do). And all are direct competitors (for those that question the testing results).
Cant imagine a warranty issue, but each dealer will do what they want. SOme have good techs/servicemngrs and some have idiots. Out of over 10,000 of these installed and in use over the years only one has ever had a valve freeze. |

Where the hell are you getting this from? The only issue I've read about was from a person who connected it backwards. Please feel free to direct us to where you have read all these issues!

There is no issue with the RX catch can, it does what it is supposed to do and there is no way it should have any negative effect on warranty. Great product, I am very happy with mine.

My experience with Moroso
I have the Moroso catch can (for the Gen5 Camaro) it works great, looks awesome, and best quality you can find. After installation drove for a few hundred kms. over a few weeks period and caught this (see pics). No issues at all, we tested too with no blowback.
Moroso is a well known, very reputable company with amazing support, and they stand by their products and service. After purchasing, and installation I called Moroso to purchase the drain valve caps (orange rubber caps), they sent me a whole bunch free of charge, didn't even ask for delivery charges even though they couriered them via UPS to Canada. Probably cost them about $15. Can't beat that. |

calbert1999, great pics. I like how Moroso matches the look with the blower.
I've also desided to go with the Moroso performance can. Will post my own pics and my results in a few weeks. Last edited by Stealth6; 03-16-2012 at 02:55 PM. |

Moroso can...
Finally received my Moroso can. This is really well made! I drove the car somewhat hard for a couple of days.... I then split the can open just to see inside. In just a couple of days of use, I observed some residual oil on the bottom. I will test this further and then report back after several weeks. I'm glad that I've picked this type of oil seperator.... Moroso is all about performance and innovation.

LOL! I still dont see a single person installing the clear glass inline fuel filter between the can and the intake manifold to show just how much oil is getting pulled through into the intake. The Moroso can is absolutely beautiful.....but dont you want to trap all, or nearly all the oil from entering yout intake manifold? Even a beer can will catch oil (try it and see) and if thats all your looking at then enjoy, but just try the $10 test and see. It is a free world so you can put what you want on and it looks great, but test for function, and opening and seeing some oil is no different in a beer can or a gold plated chalis.
Just do the test and show the results.....ifall you want is good looks then be happy, but your engine wants NO oil ingestion. |

Before it's initial install, I've called Moroso support with some questions about their can. The guy on the phone really knew his sh*t. In fact, he was able to explain as to why their can was designed in that particular manner and provide explicit details about it's function. Seems like Moroso is all about performance without any "fluff". |
