True - they roll off the line in Oshawa.............

But the idea - the engineering -- the 'creation' -- if you will, - Michigan.

Its quick no doubt however I think quoting that it runs 11's in the 1/4 is a rediculous statement considering the 1.67 60 foot time posted. Not even the fastest stock Z06 out there have posted a better 60 foot time then that number. And the Z06 uses a wider tire and weighs 1000 lbs less...Its obviously that DR's were used in that run. Its still a great car and I can't wait to see what the 13' GT500 can do.

Why will GM verify the sub-12 second run was made on the factory Goodyears but not verify the 60ft time on that time slip was, indeed, also done on the factory tires? I mean, I think we all agree the 11.93 run was legit (other than a few specfic users, that is) but a 1.6x 60ft by any car on any non-drag radial tire has about the same chance of happening as someone hitting the lottery.

All good points - Monte brings up a good point about Pontiac, Michigan.

And yes, they 'roar' to life in Oshawa --

...but as any of you who know me can attest: I've been saying for years that it takes thousands of hard working individuals as a team to bring a great car to market.

Sounds like the new tires are quite a step up:

I don't know what else to tell you if you think a 1.6X 60 foot time is possible with a stock radial. Its just not possible... Even the corvette Z06 hasn't dipped into the 1.6X 60 foot times with a wider tire and weighing 1000 lbs less.... Its completely obvious to anyone not drinking koolaid that the 60 foot times indicates drag radials.

Well said fbodfather.... And that team of 1000s must have worked overtime on this fantastic automobile.

This car is amazing, beyond expectations and everyone at GM should be proud!
