I had a home-made hidden hitch on my g35. I used it to tow my small trailer to track days. It had a tool box built in and enough room for my 4 slicks plus some other stuff. Very easy to do and completely hidden. I'm at work but will upload pics when I get a chance.

OH DEAR GOD NO! Unless you're pulling a cool ass boat, just to be a jackass! Then go for it... otherwise... DONT DO IT! Sike, I dont care what you do with your car... its YOUR car.... make it what you want!
Side note, that pic of the black SS with the white writing Bridgestones and black centers looks kinda cool. Not my style, but very 70's esque...

No way would i ever put a trailer hitch on any unibody vehicle, not some P.O.S. SUV and especially not a Camaro.

I need a hitch as well. Mainly for a bike rack. I have a trunk rack that I've used on both of my RX-8s, but it scratches the shit out of your decklid. Not to mention modern shaped bikes don't stay on very well, and I've had a few close calls. I saw the one that guy had in the other thread, but that was WAY too low. That thing would be scraping the ground every time I pull into a parking lot or went over a speed bump. And thats by itself, put the bike rack in there that extends out another 1-2 feet straight back, it would probably scrape when your front axle went up over a speed bump.
But still, my car should be coming in soon, and I'll want to get something early in the spring. The sooner the better, I could use the rack in the winter too, to head up to the indoor skate park. If they cut through just right, you could stick a chevy logo receiver cover over it and no one would ever know, except people on this forum.

Sooo any news to this topic?
I see the curt hitch that comes out below the entire rear bumper. Is there anything that comes out higher? Like so: That's really what I need. I don't mind cutting a small hole in that black plastic piece under the painted bumper. But I don't know anyone that could fabricate something like a custom receiver.

At least have the trailer rims match the Camaro.

Heres a below-the-bumper hitch that is cheaper than the Curt:
http://search.cartserver.com/search/...AMARO&GO=GO%21 Not sure what it attatches to, I'll have to crawl under my car one of these days and take a look. Still not what I'm looking for though. And it claims a 2000lb capacity with a 200lb tongue weight.

OK to each his/her own yada yada yada! I just want to know one thing. Why on earth did you people buy a Camaro? I can understand maybe you only have one vehicle and thats fine but by the sounds of it, you should have bought a Subaru Outback or something. This is a Sport Coupe not a Sport Utility!!!

Well, the thing is, some people think the camaro is some magical piece of metal, and not just a cheap sporty car that gets good gas milage. This isn't some $120,000 super car. It's a friggin camaro, get over yourself.

Well the thing is its sports car, get it. I never mentioned cost, there are some pretty pricey sport utilities out there. My point is apparently lost on you.

It really is lost on me. Completely. So if you decided to get into mountain biking, you'd sell your camaro and go buy a wagon?

I'd throw the bikes in the back of my truck. I see you have and S-10.

Thats not up to date. I drive a v6 camaro, not an S10 or RX8. So I still don't understand why I should have bought a Subaru instead of a Camaro with a bike rack?
