The driver's side door trim seems to be more of an optical illusion than anything else...someone posted pictures of their door to dash trim from different angles, and it does indeed look crooked from some, but perfect from others.

Ummm sorry, but I am not basing it on photos, but rather in person, as I sit in my car. Much as I love my car, I'm not going to pretend that issues dont exist. Nor are there any regrets.

Knock on wood, but so far I have no complaints on my 2SS/RS.

My car fires right up when you turn the key. Haven't had any problems with the A pillar trim piece either, or noticed an alignment problem with the door and dash pieces.

I agree with the other person who said you should take it back to the dealer and have them fix the issues.

My RJT 2SS/RS is number 7992. I have no issues with this car. Fit and finish are great. My wife and I took it on a 1609 mile trip to New England and back. No problems. I had the oil changed at 2300 miles and now I'm sitting at 2467.

Just had to chime in...

My car just had stripes painted on and the painter said the spoiler nuts were just finger tight. Just saying so other members can keep an eye on this.

What you are describing with starting really sounds like a bad battery. You would think that a brand new car couldn't already have a bad battery but sometimes batteries are bad when they're new, just like other things. Like others have said, I would seriously take that thing in immediately. You have enough issues to point out.

By the way, that tint REALLY makes your car look even better! Very nice pic.

If I get this right, the starter sounds kind of lazy when you turn the key? I find mine sounds that way as well but always starts with no problem. I found my '07 Cobalt sounded the same way. Unfortunately, new American cars no longer have a starter that sounds like an American car. They all have that timid lazy sound like Asian cars do. As for quality issues, the only one I found on my car was loose A pillar trim on the Driver's side. I gently pushed on it and it slid into place and fits great now. Everything else looks just as it should and works as it should. My dealer was fantastic through the whole process and this was probably one of my best buying experiences so far. Of course, I bought my Cobalt from the same dealership in '07 and was treated just as well then so, I knew what to expect. Take the car back to your dealer, I am sure they do not want a customer with such a high profile GM product unhappy.

read around here that if you don't park it in reverse, power is not completely turned off(thus draining your battery). I take it as for only M6 vehicles..

That is correct, thats how it sounds, yea, it sounds like a weak over-seas import, before it fires up. I couldn't find a better way to describe til I read your response (I have only owned 1 import, but that was like 4 yrs ago).

Anyhow, I will take to dealer, and HOPEFULLY they find an issuse.

Mine was off a bit too, dealer ended up adjusting the dash for it to match, now its perfect. (had go go back and get stripes installed anyway so it was no big deal.)

Door to Dash trim, take it back mine had the same issues it took 3 days to get it back as they had to wait for a gm tech from the factory to tell them where the allignment screws where, but they are there and they will line up 100% once adjusted. do not live with it, getit fixed while u can
