I just had a smiliar thing happen on my 11 ss

Turned off trac control and left hard from a stop sign (nothing too crazy, just accelerated and hit second)
Shortly after, maybe 5 sec. the "Service TPMS" light pops on and the tpms indicator light flashes. I check and the rear two sensors are reading --
After a little while the light stops flashing and stays solid.
After a while from that the rear right beings reading properly, but still not the left rear

What gives??

make sure you remove any car chargers and see if it returns, there have been cases of external charging devices and electronics affecting the signals.

Hi all, new here. My wife recently got a new 2013 v6 1LT manual.

Ours is having the same issue... tpms system warning light comes on flashing then solid, then goes away after a little while... at seemingly random times. Tire pressure has been fine. Just had it checked recently at the dealer during the first oil change, and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with the system, but it happened again last night.

She sometimes uses a Garmin GPS with traffic and I know that the traffic feature uses a built-in antenna in the cord, so maybe that is interfering. I will have her try unplugging that to see if it helps. Weird.

Service TPM system message in the DIC continues to appear/disappear for no apparent reason. Going to the dealer tomorrow ... the horror.

Had dealer look at when I put the ride in for 5k service last week. Since the TPMS sensors are not stock as in did not come with the car originally they would not look at it. I bought new rims and did not have "old" sensors transfered onto the new rims. Seems that there are different sensor models for '13 model.

Going to bite the bullet and bring the lub and have the dealer replace the sensors with official sensors. $65 per sensor plus tire unmounting, bead breaking, mounting, and balancing kinda sucks but it is what it is.

Details to follow.

GM_guy and notblk: how did you guys finally get your TPMS issues resolved? I'm going to the dealer tomorrow for it. Mine goes fine then 20 minutes into the drive, all 4 are -- and service message comes on. Then usually by the next start cycle, the readings are all fine, but the warning light stays on from memory. The next run cycle will clear it. And again it goes if I drive more than 20 minutes at anytime.

Hey guys I just went through this issue with my 2013 zl1. Here is what the issue was: ezpass interference. I had my ezpass mounted in the upper center of the windshield in the area where the dome light/sunroof switch is. Apparently the tpms receiver is located there and the ezpass signal interferes because the tpms receiver is so close to the ezpass. If you guys have ezpass mounted anywhere on the windshield take it off (I put mine in the cupholder temporarily). After about 20 mins of driving at above 40mph everything should reset. By the way when I initially came to dealer to report the problem the tech told me right away that ezpass could interfere. I told him this was bs because I had all my ezpass mounted on windshield (isn't that where your supposed to mount it??))after having dealer replace all 4 sensors and receiver out of pure frustration I decided to take off my ezpass and the light has not come on since!! Hope this helps. Good luck guys!! So stupid that tpms sensors would throw the same signal as ezpass.

I had a similar problem with my TPMS and at the same time an intermittant problem with the remote unit. After 7 visits they finally found the problem to be the BCM (Body Control Module). They replaced the module and neither problem has returned (knock on wood) and it has been about a year since that was done. See if you can get your dealer to check the BCM for you.
