Another package on the door step... looks like I have work to do... think I'll remove dealership decal while I'm at it!

And yes... they will be painted flat black...

So the process began tonight to remove the existing Camaro lettering on the front fenders... So far I'm happy with the results on the passenger side and have not began on the driver's side. I hope to tackle that tomorrow morning.

I've also removed and smoothed the back of the stainless and painstakingly cut out some 3m Super Strong Double sided Emblem tape to fit the back of the Emblems exactly... I'm looking forward to having these bad boys on sometime tomorrow!

I finished removing both emblems/ adhesive then clay barred the area and because I don't have a PC I used some generic Mequire's Polish and hand polished both areas. I was quite surprised by the results. .. of course then I attached the "new" emblems...
Don't scrutinize these pics too much the car needs washing pretty bad!

I was so surprised with the results of the hand polishing that I decided to try and hit a couple of problems spots... one on the hood looked like someone drug a text book off the car and another on the front passenger fender that looked like someone scrapped chewing gum off with their fingernail then wiped it down with a piece of sandpaper... now I cannot even tell these spots ever existed! Not that I recommend polishing this way as I only did about 1.5 square foot it took me about 45 minutes and my arms are absolutely killing me!

Ok guys, I know I haven't updated, and honestly I doubt anyone has missed it..., but I got all of my polishing and washing and shining equipment about a week ago and have been polishing my ass off ever since... I've spent 4 days around 12 to 16 hours each day polishing on this thing and have almost got it to where I want it to be... 1 maybe 2 more days and I expect to be done and then you should fully expect an explosion of pictures to follow... but right now most of my off work and awake hours have been spent on the camaro!

I'm excited about the progress as it is looking MUCH better!
