i raced a 14 and heres what happened. I have high flow cats, cai, and an axle back exhaust. he just had an exhaust and i was consistently beating him by .3 seconds on the track. i pulled on him really really hard down low.

Its the only one I could find in a hurry, since video evidence is required some times. MPT is probably the best tuning company I have ever dealt with, guys are very knowledgeable. The Cyclone is also a great engine, I believe stock internals have gone 9's before.

Good kill but, that's not really very indicative. It's much the same as L99/LS3 guys saying they take Coyotes all day long. It may have been more of a driver issue than a vehicle one.

He will win, you will lose. His car is just a faster car also Auto vs manual, auto wins. Also the tune does add power, but the cam aspect of the tune adds no additional power.

Well the v6 mustang that I saw and had to race because he was bugging me for so long didn't get into the 13s at all......I'm thinking this isn't very common. He did run fender to fender with a 2010 challenger r/t. Which didn't break into the 13s either. I was way more impressed with the Eco boost that ran 13.9 totally stock with a driver that had no idea what to do. Did I mention I beat 2014 Audi r8 v8 by a car. It's sure was a mixed bag at the track last fri. At least these guys were running their cars hard.

With just a tune and an average driver I'm thinking he is a 13.7 car. Maybe a bit higher or a bit lower. Get your car into that neighbourhood . A tune will help.....i have a v8 so I'm not exactly sure what mods will work well on the v6. There are plenty of guys here that should be ale to help. Make sure you get time slips for both...I'm eager go see how you do.

don't know he does have a convertible tho so that adds to his weight. also no i have zl1 replicas 9 in the front 10 in the back running 315s honestly pretty great for launch except for some wheel hop

The convertible definitely hurts him. I haven't seen much if any of the V6 guys in the low 13's or high 12's with just bolt-ons. Your wheel and tire setup is good for a launch but will hurt you on the top end. You'll always want the smallest tire possible that will give you the most acceptable amount of traction. It's all about weight and rolling resistance.
Cut him at the light and hope he botches his launch. Then just hold on tight until you cross the lights and hope you stay ahead.

A tune on a LLT doesn't do much unless the tuner is extremely good at tuning the LNF engine. For autos the transmission can be made better but engine wise, learning what fuel it likes is more important. If you do tune, the lambda needs to be 0.88, lean compared to Port Injection. Direct injection cools the charge more and can run leaner.
