BTW, the GT350r and probably the GT500 are going to be keepers as well. I am going to get a 350R later this year or next. Add it to the hoard. Those cars are special like our z28s are.

I paid 44.5 for a SIM W/1400 miles mint last summer. I follow the market on these very closely, the average for a nice low mile( 2-5k) is low/mid forties. I do concur that the bottom is pretty much in on these. Haven't seen much of a decline in the last year, the exception being one's with 20-30k on the clock which can be had in the high thirties. Of course this is talking retail. YMMV

P.S Austin check my sig- great minds, lol

I got mine for $54k before taxes and registration back in July 2016. Used 1 owner with 1300 miles. I don't feel to bad about how much I paid compared for what they are going for now. I'm just grateful to have this awesome car. I was without a sports car for 8 years and after watching the Z28 market closely for 6 months including my car which was from another state pop up at a dealer near me. I had enough of waiting and I had to have it right then and there.

Back then there were about 100+ Z28's on Autotrader, today I saw 28 of them on there.

I supposed I'll chime in again. lol

Paid $36k with 43.9k miles on it October 2017. One owner car, older gentleman that daily drove it until he couldn't. Was never tracked prior to me getting it (2 track days now). Paint shows it was daily-driven, but other than that it's been perfectly fine and I don't care. Taking the car to the track did more for hurting the paint than just driving it around has, but still don't care.

I paid $69,000 and with tags and tax it was $76,000 out the door in 8/27/15. It has long since been paid off, so no big deal. I do wish I had waited for the 20% mark down, but I go through cars pretty fast because they get boring, so I might have end up with the GT350R - OH NO!

So in the long run I'm glad I got it. I still do have the Z/28 and will probably never sell it. To me it is what a muscle/track car should be.

I paid a little over $51K plus tax when I bought it new with only 17 miles on it off the showroom floor in 2016. MSRP was $77,050 so I was thrilled.

I actually tried to pay in the $65,000 range for one. The dealer refused to budge off the $80,000 they were asking. They market it up over MSRP and sat on the car for a year. I know that car sold for $53,000. I might have paid $80,000 but there was no way I could afford that at that point in time.

I did the same thing. I was almost ready to settle on a local silver z the dealer had for ever. Still asking 65k, I offered 55 out the door because thats what market was and there was my ideal car two states over. They called me a tire kicker, told me to get to steppin. They got fleeced on it by another dealer eventually.

Best part was the lowes parking lot my car got delivered on is across the street, and the "camaro guru" stopped by to see my car get unloaded and I helped him remember when I was called a 'tire kicker'.

I know the car you're talking about, and the dealer. If they are smart, they will bite.

That would be a fair deal for them, much better than sending it to auction and getting low to mid 30’s
