Thanks for all the welcomes guys, much appreciated.

Sorry about those few inaccuracies lol, I never researched them I just didn't know that Ford had EVER taken money from anyone.

And to that one guy about the Mustang being pulled from the market...I was not aware of that at all. But I'm sure it wasn't for long. My main point was for decades some of the others like the Charger and Challenger had disappeared from the market, thats a pretty big deal to some, I guess Ford realized there mistake and acted quickly to get a nice Mustang back out to the public.

@2SSRSB -- I was just saying that it seems that way. Believe me I was exaggerating a lot because I know the many people that have it happen to them on here, are really a minority when you look at how members there are. I'm just dreading getting a Camaro and someone decides to ruin it for whatever the reason. That would crush me inside.

Thanks everybody for you opinions, I'll take all of them into consideration when looking at the two in person. I kinda figured y'all would be biased towards the Camaro lol, but it can't hurt to ask. As soon as I can I'll try to get a test drive in each one, but something tells me theres a Camaro out there calling my name

I look forward to being a member of this forum and hopefully one day I'll have a Camaro of my own!

i can tell you one thing i got in the interior of the camaro and i loved it i was never able to drive one before my order was placed and when it got here i loved how it drove, the power, and the interior, and most of all the looks. Now before the camaro was out i was looking at a 2009 Roush black jack stage 3. It had everything and it was a very very nice car. But once i got in the inside it was uncomfortable a little difficult to see over the hood scoop and all of that other stuff. I know a Roush is not what your looking to buy but its still a mustang and i didn't care for it to much. All of this being said i think that the camaro is a better choice. And which ever car you get you will be happy with

I know this may sound really freaking stupid, but the Camaro's key fob actually makes me want one. I've held a key for the new Mustang (friend has one) and the key to the SS we have here at the house. I don't know what it is, maybe the quality or the feel of the plastic but it just feels so solid and expensive. As if GM knew that an important part of the Camaro experience is how you feel before ever getting in. And for me the key translates how awesome the Camaro really is. It's like you just know that once you get in and use that key, something incredible is going to happen. Maybe I'm just weird lmao but just holding the damn thing in my hand gives me a rush before I ever have to get in the car.

A co-worker has a new Mustang. I have a new Camaro. A third has a Nissan 370.

People see my car for teh first time and universally say, that is a beautiful car. they shrug at teh Mustang cause it looks like the 40 other ones on base. The 370 is meh, small but has cool looks.

And the switchblade keyfob is the WIN!

BTW I noticed your forum name and assume you have a Jeep? What kind? You ever take it to the trails?

I live in MD and drive a 2002 Grand Cherokee. It wasn't meant for hitting up the trails but man I had a blast this past winter

Go drive them both. I did. That sealed the deal for me. Good luck.

Welcome to Camaro5!

And I think you should go with the LS. It will be cheaper than the 'Stang. And you can get new wheels if you don't like the LS wheels. I think the LS would be a better bargian for your buck.

Thanks for the welcome!

And yea, I'm anticipating a markup for the Mustang's since there the '11's.

My gut feeling has always had me leaning toward the Camaro, but to be fair I at least want to test drive both.

There's a joke there somewhere, but if elaborated on, I might get suspended.

6 Billion is no joke

I'm just saying... Everyone takes money from the government, no one is better than the other in that regard. All though I have to give Kudos to Ford for keeping the perception that they don't out in public.

oh ya and OP, chicks dig camaros

It is NOT government money. The government only has the money that it confiscates from the taxpayers. It is the taxpayer's money. Just because the politicians get to dole it out to buy votes, it doesn't make it theirs.

I love my 1SS but I hate the damned key fob. When I climb on my motorcycle and my pants compress the key fob, one of three things happen at 6 am. I open the trunk, I unlock the door and the worst, I set off the emergency horn. If they had depressed the buttons, it would be perfect. Another thing is that I think that they have way to much range. I think that this is probably for the folks with remote start. My Buick requires you to be allmost on top of the car, therefore reducing the chance of me moving on my Harley's seat 200 yds down the road and opening my trunk and doors and setting off the alarm. It is also annoying to have the little switch blade key go off in your pocket. I will live with this though, because I LOVE the car.
