Yeah I can't tell. It could be either I guess... I hope they change a couple of things from the concept. I love the console gauges, but I want them to be large enough to make sure my car isn't overheating at 130MPH. I just want them to be easy to glance at and see. The ones in the concept don't look that user friendly. I love the steering wheel, I hope the production one is at least similar. As far as the main gauges go, I hope they keep the overall shape and design, but I want more functional, easy-to-read gauges. I want to be able to glance and see that I am doing 130MPH without taking my eyes off the road for too long. With the seats, I like them but the headrest looks too bare, It's begging for something to be embroidered in it. "Camaro", the bowtie, "Z28", "SS" anything. It desperately needs it. Also I'm looking forward to how the sound system is executed. If it will be designed into the dash or if it will be aftermarket compatible. Either way is fine with me. I hope there's a premium sound system. I would rather spend all my money on speed parts. I like good sound, but I don't need earth-shaking bass or concert hall quality. Just something that sounds good and holds at least six CDs and has an auxilary jack for an Ipod. Seeing that a $21,000 (loaded with TRD dealer installed wheels, etc.) Toyota Yaris can pull it off, and given that the 4th gen Monsoon system was great. I expect nothing less from the new Camaro.

I think it would be cool if they equipped the new Camaro (or at least offered it as a option) with heads up display. I had it in my 2002 Z-06 and loved it. You never had to take your eyes off the road and could scroll through several display options to show what you wanted to see. When you are driving at speed, gauges or not, it's nice to have the info super-imposed in your line of sight for quick reference / safety.

I hope GM is reading this!

The technology has been out there for a while and with all of the Vettes and Caddies they have put it in at this point the cost should not be that much.

I think they even had a HUD in a grand prix at some point.

I'm not liking this interior. the whole Retro style thing is cool.. but it's 2009 for crying out loud. where the hell is our stereo, climate controls, nav systems, etc. gotta have a place for it, or you will NOT out sell other manufactures when people compare cars. they will add on 2 doors and luxury to give up fun.

+2. If they can do it on a Grand Prix that I can now get for $5000 used, they can do it on a Camaro. On the GPs it wasn't limited to the GTP either. It could be had on the lesser models.

Speaking of HUD, I was informed during a chat that it could be offered in the top model. This was a while ago. Then again, it was again...a possibility.

I agree, I think they need to keep the rearview mirror off the actual windshiled to help with visibility so they can keep the front window slim.

I'd actually like to see the production interior look just like the convertible (but with other colors you can choose from, not just white) except the lower guages. I'd prefer that be a storage area. The lower guages only bother me because they are taking away from possible storage.

i think the controls (radio) do need to be more workable...having said that, i like it the way it is...sorry, but epecially those center gauges...I love them, really throws back to "yeah, it's a Camaro"...the 4th gens were too bland, and Camaro's interiors need something unique - separate from other cars.

I'm on the fence with the center gauges. I like the retro of it...but the practicality of it bothers me a bit.

I'm 1000% on the bus about the rearview mirror though. Hell yeah.

They were offered as an Option in the 60's...not an included feature...maybe a hint at the future?

That was just pure speculation, I really have no idea how I came up with that...but the option part in the 60's was true...oh man I have got to get some rest lol

The ONLY problem I see w/ making the rear view mirror up on the top is this...
Have you ever tilted the mirror up to the top of the ceiling and then fixed the mirror to where you could see properly out of the back window? I know...might be a dumb question, but here's my point. I am tall...603. And, when I sit in just about any car, I have to move the mirror up to the top so that my visibility out of the front windshield isn't blocked by a mirror. When I relocate the mirror to the top of the windshield and tilt it properly so I can see out of the back window, the AMOUNT that I can see out of the back window is greatly cut down....from top to bottom...or narrower. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but it's not great. Yeah...I'd love the mirror way up there to get it out of my site as well...but not at the cost of losing my visibility out of the back window. If that happens, how in the heck am I going to be able to see all of those Mustangs???

Needs a better looking radio unit, I don't feel like replacing it. At least an MP3 play back please.
