I transposed the numbers, old folks sometimes do that...45583. Rear suspension tag says 9/11 8:28:16 AM, front suspension tag says 8:02:51 AM. Sorry for the confusion... wayne

Wayne,

Thanks for the update. This is the kind of trivia guys (and gals) will be debating 30 years from now when they are restoring these things

Mine was an hour and 15 minutes behind yours, the VIN 67 greater and no sensors. Like someone else noted, I think it was a color timing issue too. Use up all the existing stock before installing the new stuff.

Leads me to believe that the computer has all the right stuff in it, but I just don't have the sensors. I'll check the wiring harness this week to see if there are "spare" connections back there.

I picked mine up in September and I have them. Actually I just noticed they were there today - don't know why I hadn't noticed 'em before . . .

Good advice.

For those reading the thread after this and taking possession of your car. Don’t get so excited that you sign the papers and jump in it and drive off (I know it’s hard to do). You should inspect your car closely for little defects before you leave. Many years ago I worked for a Ford dealership prepping cars for the lot. You would not believe how many cars come from the factory with flaws that have to be corrected before sale!
Good advice, Jonnyb. I had a couple of major scratches on mine that they should have noticed by the dealer before I saw them but weren't. Of course they fixed them, but that made one more day without driving my baby.

I'd much rather have the BU sensors than the chicklets!

Question Born on date @ what time?

My car (rear suspension decal), shows a 9:41 AM time on 9/11 and my VIN is 456XX. That would put 2 cars on the line with VINs 9,000 apart only a few hours apart. I didn't think they did that. BWTFDIK

Karen,

Open the hood and look down to your left. See that decal with the yellow stripe? Along the bottom is the time your front suspension was installed on the line. There is a similar decal on the differential on the rear.

Everyone was complaining about how "ugly" the sensors were and I was thinking... but you've got to squint to see them... but that's only on black, of course...

I was at a Ford Dealership once, looking at a Focus, and the left rear door panel was put on wrong, you couldn't unlock it! The stick that comes up when unlocked was trapped, the hole for it was not aligned with it.

I would think the other way, I have an ABM with "discs" (back up alert), and no chicklets. Being that ABM is no longer available there are fewer that color and optioned that way.
Meaning most all other ABM camaros have the chicklets and no B/up discs. Wouldnt that make mine more rare? Let me point out that the rareity isnt what I am about, I just plain like the car and like driveing it...thats what its all about in the end.....ENJOY IT.
