yeah its a little different because the 2 torq screws for the rear sit further back in the wheel well so it doesnt sit flush with the the body of the car like it does on the front.

also how far below the rockers do you hang the gaurds and how far out from the body? I think I have it hanging down maybe 1.5"-2" and out its probably about the same. my car is too dirty from all the snow and salt to be ablet o tell if they are really working.

I made a set in the O Reily parking lot on my way home from Whitefish, MT. Traded the 11 SS on a 13 ZL1 and we had a break in the weather so went to pick it up, but the roads had a couple sand patches so I wanted these on before driving home. I will make a nicer set later.

We have bad roads around here. Do you guys think we should add a flap in front of the rear tire? Does anything get thrown forward off the tire?

No, they are shaped to go inside the rear fender well and that has a different radius(shape) than the fronts, I'll post up some pics later of what they look like. They are not flat.

I bought a set for my SS from some small vendor. Maybe show stopper. They worked good. The rears had a tubing spacer and long screw to hold them out.

Has anyone tried making rear guards that hang down an inch? Thinking it would stop rocks from slamming the rear valance. Maybe its not worth the trouble?

THank you OP for the thread, I finaly got around to making a front set for my ZL got them mounted but the clips I have dont want to stay in place........... not happy with that part. I am thinking about just drilling the fender (like on the vert pictured) and using the slip clips with a screw like normal.............. Im just on the fence about drilling the fender lips. I am wide open to suggestions / opinions........... I will post pictures when I tweak the guards a bit, Now that they are on the car i think i need to narrow them just a hair. I am happy with the overall shape to the fender but if i take say 3/8 of an inch more off it will be perfect!

Hope you all have a Happy and safe Easter! and for any fellow Italian's here "Buona Pasqua"

You might look around for clips I had to try a couple times, but found some that work good. Got them at O'Reilly they are the #8's. On one side I used 3M tape plus the clips to sse how it works. Keeps a nice seal between the plastic and the fender.
