Then why haven't we heard of any other GM brand with this problem? I have a 2015 Impala and the antenna is painted and I don't have any problems.

i had the same issues with my 2012 coupe and my 2014 vert. i was never happy with the reception and have decided I can stream from my phone better. I don't even ack the free trials anymore.

I don't bother with XM. Why pay for something when I can just stream Pandora from my iPhone? Seems foolish to me.

Mine didn't work at all and the dealership found a loose connection in the trunk.

Agreed, I got rid of XM 10 years ago, I either stream Pandora or Iheart radio, and I have a USB thumb drive with about 10K songs....

Passing trees close to the road knocks out reception.
