A Shelby is built 100% on Ford Factory floor? I guess I have been under a rock then.

Yep. On the same production lines as every other Mustang built since the 2007 model year.

Lighter car, better suspension and 520+ HP = faster lap times than z/28.

When the gt350R finally releases we will see. Currently no way to get one, That I am aware of.., so no competition.

Sorry but 427 is hand built for each z/28, that seems custom to me. As for shelby..At least on 2014 mustang, it was an option on the ford site, seems pretty much factory to me. So based on where you stand either side can argue this till the end of time. In reality if the GT350R is less expensive then the z/28 it would appear like ford may have a winner. As they roll out will have to see. As for me I am sticking with a Supercharged LS3 both can see my tail lights...

GT350R wins the lap.
Chevy brings the car in and says the suspension was out of adjustment, and has fixed it now. (no telling what else was done)
Instead of getting both cars to do another comparison they just run the Z/28 and it betters the GT350's fast lap.

Sound familiar.

They didn't do that for the 2015 Z06 when it was beaten by the GT-R. They tried everything they could to get the Z06 to get a better time because they expected it to win, but in the end their test showed that the GT-R was faster.

In the end does it matter? Again, it's a matter of personal taste. At the end of the day, I still drive a more beautiful car than the eurotrash styled Mustang. Just my opinion ;-)

Sounds like Voodoo to me! Ba Dum Chi!

If the time isn't a hoax then it's really nice to see American muscle cars that high up on the list.

This man has the right idea. I love the 5.2 Voodo and have much respect for the LS7. Would almost kill to have both of these motors. But a LS3 and Coyote are just a Super Charger away from beating both on the cheap. Both can do it with simple bolt on mods.

5.147 liters is the true measurement. HP/TQ is still a mystery. The power to weight ratio was reported to be 6.63. When the weight is leaked? Then the HP will be known. When the HP is leaked? Then the weight will be known.
