For me the HID's, Halos, spoiler and the painted roof molding was worth it...

Without the painted roof molding the car looks CHEAP ! (except on a black car)
The painted 20" rims were not for me, I took them off & replaced them with polished 19" ones.

I wouldn't drive it with the summer tires on it in the snow and believe me, I've done my share of snow driving here in Buffalo. You're going to need a set of Blizzak's (or equivalent) as rear tires at least if not on all four. Reason for just talking about the rears in my original reply? The car is rear wheel drive- aka your rear tires are doing all the work of moving the car and will most likely wear 50% faster than your front tires because of it. That is one of the really few issues I have with this car is the inability to rotate the tires because they're different sizes on the front and rear.

WELL I personally would NEVER buy another set of Pirelli's there are a LOT of good tires out there of the right size, that have a harder compound, and you can get upwards of 60,000 miles out of them, and I am talking about z rated tires. and tires that only cost in the neighborhood of $110-$175 each.

Also think in the next few months you will be able to buy an aftermarket HID kit for the Camaro for less than $150. Maybe more if you want Halos.

The RS package, IMO, was just another money gimmick by GM.

I didn't want 20" tires (especially different front and rear) and then spend more money when I had to replace them.

There will be an easy halo light mod in the future so that I'm not worried about.

The trim package looks good but face it... the Camaro looks good like it is.

If you really want a cheap RS package wait till next year and buy a Camaro used.

It always comes down to two issues, that being:

1.) Personal preference. ( What you think will look best for you! )

2.) Financial. ( What can you ultimately afford to buy. )

IMO, if your going to buy a LT, then the RS package is the way to go! For what you get and the price you're asked to pay, it's a "Steal" in my books.

If however, your planning on buying a SS, then personally I don't think it's as appealing for the price you pay.

I purchased a 2SS in Imperial Blue with polished rims so essentially, I would only be getting the benefit of the Halos, Painted Roof Moldings and Darker Tail Lights for the $1,380 I would be asked to pay. Problem is with the IBM paint, the roof dip moulding really don't look much different in standard black or painted IBM so no real advantage here. As I ordered polished rims, the Midnight Silver I would be paying for as part of the RS package would be lost as well so no value here either. I wanted a look that said "North American Muscle" and IMO that does not include "European Style Halos" even if they offer more light than the Original Halogens it is not the look I was going for. For less than $100 I replaced the standard H13 Halogen bulbs with H13 Ultra White HID bulbs and ended up with a much classier look over the standard and an approximately 40% increase in vision too! Not bad for only $100. Added bonus is that I also get working "Fog Lights too"!

Personally, I like the fact that GM has given us the choice to choose what way we want our Camaros to look instead of just say that here it is .. like it or not! To me every Camaro built is an expression of the individual owner and their style so in my books, that makes every Camaro "Special" no matter what you put on it!

Retrodude, remind me again about the fog lights? It gets taken away with the RS package?

Also, does anyone know if a dealer is able to get just the spoiler and install that only?

Thanks for the info
The upgraded stereo is worth it to me!!
