I'm very curious as to what power gains I can realize by getting my blower/snout/heads ported. I have a manual trans and am currently at 685HP/640TQ at the wheels, but I have 97 octane tune to achieve those numbers. Would like to get 725HP or more, but do it on 93 octane. Living just outside Philly, its fix'n to get cold soon, so this would be a great winter project! I'm in exploratory mode at the moment and emailed Fasterproms for a quote. Something to ponder over the holidays....

Hey, Dutch
I have JRE road race cam (rough idle), ID-850's, JMS BAP, 22% lower/stock upper, Rotofab CAI, Big Gulp, Pfadt Tri-Y and Dynatech super flow cats. Ted did the tune. Car sounds and drives great, but you know how it goes.... Once you get used to the power, you start wanting more. Damn-it, it's a sickness that knows only one cure.... More Power! Thanks for the insight regarding Jeremy. I'll hang tight for a while, and if I don't get an email response, I'll try giving him a call. |

I was hoping so. Yes that is the set-up I am running. 2.55 upper and 10% lower. Jeremy also ported my heads as well as milled them.

I agree, the entire JRE crew were great to work with. As for the cam, I'm really happy with it. It has that old-school muscle car lope at idle and the sound to go along with it! For the most part, the cam has good street manners but if you have a manual and get stuck in slow/creeping traffic, you'll have to clutch it a little more than you would do with the stock cam, else the car will lurch a little. I would think that is to be expected. |
